"Not a good hotel for families"
While this was a lovely hotel and the closeness to the Galleria was nice, it is not a great place to stay with kids. We chose the hotel because it was close to a family members residence, but we should have chosen another location. The pool is especially bad. "Disappointing weekend getaway"
I was very disappointed as this did not live up to a previous Westin stay in different country. This was barely above average, I was hoping for upscale hotel and got short changed. Shower in a tub, previous Westin (CPT) dual head shower, heated tiles excellent spa service. The hotel is old, the layout allows for minimal staff interaction. "Weekend Stay in Houston"
I would have given this place a 5, but we had to wait almost two hours to get our room. We were told that we would be called once our room was ready, but no contacted us. They did let us leave our bags with the concierge, so that was helpful. An hour and forty-five minutes later, we returned to the front desk and the front desk staff said that our room […] was ready...fifteen minute ago. Aside from that, the room was great and the location was perfect for us. I would have preferred a room that was facing Westheimer Road, but the rear view was ok too. It is a nice hotel, but $10 to use the Internet? Really it should be free for all your guests. Even in the business office, $8 an hour? The wireless in the lobby was exceedingly slow. The air conditioner in the room was loud and combined with the street noise it was almost impossible to sleep. The view from the 20th floor was fabulous but overshadowed by the noise. The railing on the balcony was very loose and made being on the balcony a bit scary. The bed very comfortable and overall the hotel itself was nice. The convenience of […] having immediate access to the mall was great and made the traffic situation around the galleria bearable because you didn't have to drive anywhere. "Graet Stay Thanksgiving Weekend"

The hotel and staff were very nice. The hotel was exactly what I wanted and location fitted my needs. However they lost my car for over an hour before they were able to get it to me and was continuously telling me it was on its way. We pulled up to the hotel in a cab with at least three bags of luggage and not one person from the hotel came outside to give us a hand. We had to open the door to the hotel ourselves, while watching 3 bellman chat amongst themselves in the doorway. The shower head is so low that I practically had to get on my knees to fit under it. I was supposed to have adjoining rooms as I had three of my daughters with me. When we signed in, we were told there were no adjoining rooms and would have to take rooms side by side. "Convienent for Shopping"
We love to stay here when shopping....you can take your purchases back to your room and head out to buy more or go back to your room to relax or go swimming when you are done for the day. The only thing with this trip that was disappointing was that the A/C was not cooling properly, the floors in the room may not have been throughly cleaned and the […] bathroom doorknob came off in my daughter's hand.
