A ggod location in the centre of old town about 20-30 mins walk to Ribeira and Port Cellars. Take the Metro from Airport to Bolhoa station and then 5 mins walk to hotel. Make sure you visit Taylors cellars free tour and post tasting.

We stayed here for four nights, and we loved it. The location could not be better, the hotel is rather magnificent in its facade and public spaces, and the rooms are perfectly adequate for a good night's rest. Historic building in the centre of Porto, this is a hotel with outstanding entrance lobby and breakfast/ dinning room, very relaxing ! Classic room on 1st floor, was very nice, clean and quiet - bathroom with bathtub and excellent shower-good water pressure ! Mentioned that was our wedding anniversary, so was nice to find bottle of sparkling wine […] on ice, with plate of lovely pineapple when we arrived in room ! Nice gesture and much appreciated . Breakfast included was very good, and room service pleasant and fast . Tip - Get metro from airport( 2 euros ) to bolhao station, then walk up to St catarina rd and turn right - 2 minutes down road on your right side it,s the hotel. The hotel common areas are excellent. Breakfast was a feast. The rooms were stark. But they were comfortable and very conveniently located.

Spent 1 night in Porto on route to Marrakech. Hotel very well located for metro and main shopping area. We wanted to stay in an old hotel to experience the romance of Porto. The Grande was exactly that : beautiful lobby, friendly staff, great bar and great breakfast. The room was plain but very clean and functional. The hotel is pretty central on a walking street and across from the Majestic Cafe. This hotel's location couldn't be better - in the heart of shopping on a lovely pedestrian street; a short walk to several major sites (the Cathedral, the Clerigos Tower, the funicular to the river, etc.). The public areas of the hotel are beautiful and well-taken care of and the breakfast was very good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which is also great for romantic getaways. We were welcomed by a promt, professional check-in, stayed in a clean small, comfortable room and had a wonderful breakfast in their beautiful dining room. This was a decent hotel, but not one that was as good as expected. Once upon a time I think this hotel would have been fantastic, as the size as potential for "grandness" is there, but it seems that over the years maintanence and modernisation hasn't kept up with the passing time. In our room most of the walls and the ceiling had big cracks in them […] and looked very dated. The same could be said for the hallways - carpets looking old, stained and having seen better years. Upon arrival the service could have been a little better too. The person that served us wasn't the happiest person i've met, but while serving us he continued to have a conversation with another staff member and people that that person was helping. The double room was also very small, with barely enough floor space to put our suitcases either side of the bed. On the positive side of things the en suite was modern and clean, and the breakfast has a very good choice of food, both hot and cold. The staff were very professionally dressed at all times. Vi havde et kanon godt ophold på Grande Hotel. Vi havde en baby på 8 mdr med, men dette var intet problem. Hotellet er ikke decideret børneegnet, men børnevenligt. Hotelets restaurant var fantatisk god. Udsøgt betjening. Ligger centralt, men når du kommer ind fra gadens larm, er du hensat til ro og fred. Kan klart anbefales.

Ein schönes altes Hotel innzentraler Lage mit sehr schöner Lobby und Bar. Die Zimmer sind renoviert, aber leider etwas klein. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Untergeschoss mit Blick auf den nicht schönen Hof.

Meget fornem og stilfuld indrettet. Central placeret hvis man gerne vil shoppe. Godt morgenbord, så intet at klage over.

El hotel esta "ok", antes de ir leì muchas criticas y al final tome de todos modos la reserva, basicamente porque la ubicación es muy buena, en la parte más comercial de Porto. La habitación es básica (la mía fue en el nivel calle.. entre la recepción y el restaurant), el baño también simple y todo funcionaba bien. El desayuno esta OK, en un salon muy […] bonito, para quienes les gusta el estilo antiguo. Los puntos bajos: cobran el internet, que hoy en día es un básico para un hotel y me cobraron la llave de la caja de seguridad. Ideale Stadtlage in der Fußgängerzone, nahe Metrostation und Einkaufszentren. Das Zimmer ist nicht sehr groß, das Frühstück glänzt nicht gerade durch Auswahl und das künstliche Klaviergeklimper im Frühstücksraum nervt. Aber insgesamt ist das Hotel eine schöne Option im Zentrum der Altstadt.

Hotel reformado porém mantém o ambiente aconchegante e elegante de um hotel de época. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e a localização é boa tanto para caminhar pelos cafés como para compras e transportes. Parabéns a todos do hotel.

Hotêl très bien situé dans Porto, facile d'accès grace au metro (proche a moins de 5min) qui est direct de l'aeroport ( environ 45 min de trajet). Le cadre (hall, salons, bar et restaurant) sont dignes d'un 3 étoiles et le personnel y est courtois. Le petit déjeuner est classique mais suffisament varié. jambon et fromage sont plutot moyens alors que […] les fruits frais sont délicieux . On peut regrétter la justesse de la taille des chambres et leur coté kitch sous certains aspects (bouttons de lumiere, baignoire et pommaux de douche ainsi que le lavabo) et des traces sur les murs dues au frottement des bagages au fil des ans. très bon accueil dans cet hotel, une bouteille de vin pétillant bien frais offert pour l'anniversaire de ma femme...mais décidement la chambre était trop petite, le lit était trop petit pourtant nous ne sommes pas bien gros; mieux vaut aller dormir ailleurs.

Hôtel bien situé dans Porto, en plein dans la rue commerçante et bâtiment typique du décor Portugais. L'accueil est chaleureux, la déco est sympa et le buffet du matin était parfait: choix énorme salé et sucré, boissons... Vanhan ajan tunnelmaa huokuva hotelli loistavalla paikalla Porton keskustassa. Ravintolassa hienot puitteet ja loistava ruoka ja palvelu. Metroasema lähellä. josta pääsee kätevästi mm. lentokentälle tai vaikka Povoa de Varzimiin asti. Erittäin hyvä valinta!

La relación calidad precio es muy buena, los servicios comunes: sala de lectura, bar, sala de desayuno son muy agradables con estilo birtánico decadente. El problema son las habitaciones de la planta -1 que reciben olores a veces desagradables de la lavandería del hotel.

古いホテルで床がきしんだりするが、手入れをしてきれいに保っている。 ホテルのレストランで夕食を取ったが、味も良くやすかった。 妻の誕生日と判ると、シャンパンの差し入れがあり気が利いている。 私とすればまた使っても良い。

Excelente localização, funcionários muito gentis, café da manhã muito bom - só ficou a desejar o estacionamento que é distante do hotel e não foi avisado que a rua do hotel é rua de pedestres e é um tanto barulhenta.

Un hotel con un servicio y trato profesional. Decoracion de un hotel de lujo que contrasta con el minimalismo de las habitaciones. Volveré siempre a este hotel y lo recomendaré a todo aquel que visite la bella ciudad de Oporto.

Ik was hier voor de 10de keer zo ongeveer. Mooi oud hotel, maar geen vergane glorie meer (zoals een paar jaar geleden nog het geval was). Na een grondige renovatie is alles weer als nieuw. We kregen, omdat we hier dus al veel vaker waren geweest, een welkomstdrankje aangeboden. Mooie kamers en badkamers, alles nieuw, ruime kasten, uitgebreid ontbijfbuffet. Le lit d'appoint pour la troisième personne n'est pas trop confortable .C'est un lit qui est rajouter dans la chambre qui laisse peu de place pour la circulation.Sinon l'hôtel est très bien placé et le personnel très attentionné et très accueillant..Le petit déjeuner est très copieux . ;

Hotel heeft uitstraling, dit betreft vooral de lounges en het restaurant. Kamers op de bovenste verdiepingen zijn klein en toe aan renovatie. Positief: uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, groot dakterras. Negatief: kleine en gedateerde kamer, WiFi is betaald en er is bovendien geen signaal in grote delen van het hotel.

Es un hotel bonito en un buen sitio, lo único malo son las habitaciones del sotano, nos las dieron pero protestamos y muy amables nos cambiaron a unas habitaciones normales en el primer piso

Très contents de notre choix, excellent rapport qualité-prix, chambre spacieuse, localisation parfaite en plein centre.

L' hotel è facilmente raggiungibile dall' aeroporto grazie ad un efficente servizio di metropolitana. Gli intereni sono curatissimi e caratterizzati da un' atmosfera piacevole ed elegante. Lo staff è cortese e discreto e sempre e comunque gentile e disponibile. alcune camere sono veramente piccole, ma vivibili. ottima la colazione a buffet

En este momento considero que el servicio de internet debe ser de libre acceso en todos los hoteles. El servicio es caro e incómodo ( hay que pedir password cada vez) y el precio es caro.

Recomendarei a pessoas que nunca tivessem ficado neste hotel ,antes das obras recentes, que modificaram em muito, o aspecto de um hotel de charme da epoca da Belle Epoque..

Das Zimmer war klein, aber sauber und in sehr gutem Zustand. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in einer belebten Einkaufsstrasse.

Un albergo un po' "old style" con camere non grandi, ma confortevoli e pulite. A una decina di minuti dai posti turisticamente interessanti. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile (l'impiegato alla reception e' riuscito, in un Portogallo "tutto esaurito" a trovarci una macchina da noleggiare).
