Bed was very comfortable but room small. They wanted to charge for everything extra! We have stayed at other hotels and internet was free but here if you are not a "member" you have to pay big $. Front desk and concierge did not understand our questions or did not know the answers. Free shuttle to the metro one advantage

Normally staying at a hotel by the airport is not particularly interesting, usually out of town with nothing but gas stations, car rental places and fast food joints nearby. But I was pleasantly surprised by this Hilton in Crystal City. It has been renovated recently, and was quite lively when I was there. And it sits right next to 23rd street, easy […] walking distance to numerous restaurants on both sides of the street, with an amazing choice of cuisines to choose from - everything from Ethiopian to Northern Italian to Sports Bar food. I had the best shish kabob of my life at Kabob Palace, with the bill less then $20 for a huge meal, right across Jefferson Davis Blvd from the Hotel. WATER WAS CUT OFF FOR REPAIRS AT MIDNIGHT AND WAS TO BE TURNED BACK ON AT 6:00 AM. WATER WAS TURNED ON AT ABOUT 11:00 AM.

The staff was amazing. However, there was an inch of water in the hallway being wet vacuumed at 6 AM. The vacuuming went on for hours. There was no hot water in the morning to shower with. We enjoyed the location but there is no good spot for loading and unloading the vehicle except in the parking garage which we found a little tricky finding. The room was nice but the bathroom was far from spacious.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the area that we were visiting, great neighborhood. That is probably the best feature about this hotel, why does the Hilton charge for internet, I could get free internet at Hotel 6. I totally forgot about this annoying requirement, but location was a must. Big rooms with tiny bathrooms, my wife and I could […] not be in there at the same time(we are in the small size). The light in the rooms makes you feel as if it was a lounge, what gives? No light over the shower and sconces that give a glow and nothing else, one looks forward to daylight so that you can see around. Just in case you don't feel welcome, they charge for parking. Things got even worse when on Sunday morning the noise of drilling and hammering woke us up and could not rest in peace and quiet. Next time in Alexandria will not find us at the Hilton. The room was good and Housekeeping excellent. Had bed and breakfast included which was a big big mistake. On 2/17/13 went down for breakfast at 9.30 am and all the dishes were empty. Even the Bread stand was empty. Mind you the breakfast time was till 11am. It took them over 40 minutes to bring the breakfast items. All along there excuse was that they […] are renovating. There weren't a lot of staff for breakfast and tables were nit cleaned so people were not able yo sit. Only one waitress and when she called for help the manger yelled at her for no reason she was working very well. The garage key didn't work so I had yo go back inside to fix that too.

I booked this hotel thru expedia. the problem with this is they dont communicate directly with the hotel. I requested a room on a higher floor and facing the airport. What I was not told was that there are buildings obstructing your view of the airport completely. Also i was not told that the hotel was undergoing renovations. The indoor pool was closed […] and we were put on the 1st floor. I could have stayed somewhere else if i was told this information. We did after complaining be put on the 8th floor. I also payed cash for parking and did not get a reciept (which is my fault) so they charged our card. So we ended up paying 50 dollars for parking instead of 24. It was very comfortable. Many of the rooms are rennovated...and they are doing more. VERY nice accomodations. Only downside is the $24 a day parking.

We arrived at 10 pm and tried to shower . The water was ice cold and after running it for 15 min we could not get it to warm up. I called the front desk and they told me there was no problem. I then asked for some hot chocolate which they said they would bring and it never came. I will not go there again.

It was early Friday evening and I had to print a document and make copies for a meeting Saturday morning. Their available printer was out of toner/ink and was serviced only by an outsourcer and the copy machine was out of order. I had to drive to a Staples about a mile away to print and make copies. When we arrived, the front desk staff was courteous and helpful, gave me directions to places to go and where to park and access to my room. When we went to the second floor to get dinner, there was no one at the restaurant (about 6pm) no guests or service personnel... we walked around the restaurant looking for someone and we surprised them when we […] walked into the kitchen & asked them if they were open... just plain weird. the food however was excellent after the short wait to be seated and the waitress was attentive and courteous. Breakfast was a different story, very attentive staff and an excellently prepared buffet. There was a leaky pipe from the ceiling on the second floor just outside the restaurant - they placed a plant under it to catch the drips...? the room was average to fair, the heater thing was obnoxiously loud and toilet was leaking, so it sounded like someone was partially flushing all night. kind of a restless night after traveling for 12 hours. For the price, nothing in the room to accommodate our stay. A leak in the roof in our room. We left 1 day early due to a family emergency, they still charged us for parking, even though we paid the hotel through Expedia.

Great hotel for those traveling, really nice customer service and the shuttle is perfect. The attendants helped me with my bags and the receptionist was so helpful. Great hotel for those who are on the go in the D.C. area.

Drove to this hotel and entrance is a bit difficult to find off highway. Improvements were underway in parking area so found it a bit unkept. Easily found elevator to lobby and front desk clerk was courteous and professional. Arrived at midnight, checked out at 5:30am and discovered clerk mistakenly charged me for 24-hrs parking. Great hotel, clean and modern. I like the area it's in, there's lots to do but don't stay here if u want parking! Otherwise you'll pay $24 per night! That's an additional $50 to your tab if u stay the weekend, unless ur lucky to grab a metered space nearby which is only free after 630pm on Saturday thru Sunday!

It was great to have queen beds, be close to the airport and across the street from the rental car company. Hotel was gorgeous, unfortunately we didn't have time to eat or use any of the amenities due to checking in late and leaving at 5:30am. Convenient location, comfortable beds, rooms were clean and staff was helpful. Hilton tied up $150 on my card to cover $48 in parking charges for several days after my stay which seemed excessive. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.

Only problem I found was the internet was not free as it is most of the places I stay when I am on the road. It cost almost $10 a day.
