We are "world travelers" with over 300 trips overseas, and at least three times as many domestic, so we have seen it all! We had asked for a "non smoking" room, and there were the appropriate signs to that effect. HOWEVER, they must have just been placed for our stay. The room reeked of smoke. The place appears to be a made over older property as you […] had to step inside the bathroom to close the door. And, it would not stay open without blocking the door with the extra roll of T P. "Great Stay"
The room was very comfortable and clean. Even though it was close to the highway I never heard any noise once I was in my room and I slept great. I'm not sure I would stay at this hotel again. When I arrived at around 8:00 pm a contractor was remodeling some of the rooms and it was very noisy. I was grateful my room was a few doors down. When I arrived at my room and walked into the bathroom the toilet seat was broken and just laying on the floor. I was not in the mood to move to another room […] so I just lived with it. "Friendly Travel Stay"
The only negative thing about this hotel they do not offer enough Non-Smoking rooms. This past weekend I accepted a smoking room on the first floor. I could barely breathe due to the smoke smell. Very comfortable and clean. Just like home and I felt very secure that close to the border. It is well lite at night and all rooms face the office. Clean and the bed was very comfortable. Noisy because of location near freeway. Felt rate was somewhat hight when checking comparable lodgings and did not like the prepay/no cancellation policy.
