Alphotel - Innsbruck, Austria

This hotel is a few minutes out of the center of Innsbruck. It is in a mixed retail/office/light industry area and just off the Autobahn that runs past Innsbruck. It was very clean and had a nice view of the Alps to the north from our balcony. They were doing major renovations while we were there for one night in April '12. Room was clean, receptionist was nice. The bed was hard as brick though. The breakfast was really nice. It was ok for a stopover for a night.

This hotel is great if you're spending a night in Innsbruck on your way somewhere else. Overall quality is good, there's plenty of free parking and staff is very helpful. Yet, if you're going to Innsbruck to explore the city, you better steer clear of this, as it's located a bit from the city centre. Now, there is a bus running from just round the block […] every 15 minutes or so, so it's not really a problem if you're a little patient, but you still wouldn't want to walk the distance downtown (if you're on vacation and do not fancy the excercise). With that said, none of this should scare anyone off in terms of the quality of the hotel itself. It is really a great hotel. It is worth mentioning, though, that whereas I was deeply impressed with the breakfast (incl. facilities) during my first stay in Aug 2010, I was less impressed upon my return in Aug 2011, when breakfast had been drastically reduced in terms of selection and, what is more, been re-located to the corridors of the basement and there was not a single table to be found save for those reserve for the busloads of Japanese visitors. The hotel is not in down-town. The room was very small and the bed tiny. The bathroon did not have towels. So I was not that happy about my choice. On the other hand, the breakfast was really nice, plenty of good food and very nice coffee.

A very clean hotel with a friendly,helpful and English speaking front desk staff. A little away from the downtown area, but no problem due to a good transportaion system.

Prima hotel met keurig ontbijtbuffet (in de prijs inbegrepen). Kamer was netjes. Prijs van het verblijf was heel redelijk. Minpuntje: Het stadshart is behoorlijk uit de buurt en het hotel ligt aan de rand van industrieel gebied. Als uitvalbasis voor bijvoorbeeld bergwandelingen of autotochten voldoet het uitstekend.

Super overnatningshotel på vej til skiferien - tæt på motorvej, gode senge og fin service. Ligger i "outlet område" så omgivelserne er mere praktiske end hyggelige.

Servicen var veldig bra. Vi fikk den hjelp vi skulle ha. Høfflig og vennlig betjening. Litt støy fra trafikken. Kunne ikke ha vindu åpent.

Die Bedienung an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant gefiel mir auch sehr gut, da das Essen gut schmeckte, die Bedienung, Sauberkeit etc. sehr gut waren. Zwar mussten wir etwas länger auf das Essen warten, da es noch eine Gruppe Touristen hatte, die zu spät erschienen ist. Frühstücksbuffet mit grosser Auswahl an frischen Lebensmitteln. Im Innern des Hotels ist alles gut : Die Bedienung, die Sauberkeit und die Qualität und Quantität des Frühstücks. Ein beanstandeter Mangel im Badezimmer wurde umgehend und zufriedenstellend behoben. Der Tresor allerdings war geschlossen und nicht benutzbar. Die Umgebung des Hotels in einem Gewerbegebiet geht für einen Geschäftsaufenthalt in Innsbruck, […] entspricht aber nicht der Stimmung während eines Urlaubsaufenthaltes während Festtagen. Wegen der Aussicht brauchen die Vorhänge daher nicht zur Seite geschoben zu werden. Ótimo, bem localizado, limpo, novo, café da manhã ótimo, atenciosos, recomendo......

Die Auskünfte auf der home page entsprechen nicht der Realität! So liegen wichtige Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht in unmittelbarem Nahbereich des Hotels! Die Busverbindungen sollten angeführt sein! Immer weniger Touristen unternehmen einen Besuch von Wien aus mit dem Auto, sondern mit der Bahn! Wie erreiche ich deas Hotel vom Bahnhof aus? Es gibt eigentlich nichts zu bemängeln. Alles ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung aber meines Erachtens einfach nicht auf dem 4-Sterne Level. Mein Rating: ein gutes 3-Sterne Hotel, mit guten Shopping-Möglichkeiten gleich um die Ecke. Das Zentrum ist in guten 20 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen, oder aber ansonsten per Bus, welcher gleich neben dem Hotel hält.

Do not expect anything special from the hotel. The rooms inside are a bit better, cleaner than you may guess immediately after check-in.

Auf dem Niveau einer Jugendherberge!

The hotel could have been a decent place to stay for a brief overnight visit in Innsbruck (for example if you're passing through by car on your way south or north), but it is certainly not really suitable if you want to explore the city and stay there for a few days. It's located about 30-40 min walk from the old town and bus connections leave a little […] to be desired, though they run just about every 15 minutes on weekdays. When we arrived we found the bed linen to be dirty, as though it had not been changed since the previous guests departed. Upon our complaint the reception only provided fresh bedsheets. We were - perhaps needless to say - more than little put off by the dirty bed linen, as we really did expect more from a 4-star hotel.
