You're not likely to find another hotel this nice for this price, this close to Baton Rouge. The rooms appeared to have been recently renovated: walls had been painted, linens were relatively modern, furniture (couches, TV, bureaus, etc.) were in excellent shape and modern. The breakfast was outstanding for the price: your choice of cereals, danish, […] English muffins, bagels, make-your-own waffle, sausage, scrambled eggs, juices, and coffee. Security was top-notch. All access to the courtyard was key-access controlled. The staff was very amicable and even went out of their way to make a fresh pot of coffee one evening when I offhandedly remarked that I'd like a fresh cup. Dining/shopping within 1 mile. This hotel is bad in many ways, but one in particular is the creepy security guard. At one point i witnessed him fussing at a man, smoking a cigarette outside his room at night, to get back in his room. The man exclaimed it was a non-smoking room and he just stepped out for a moment. Security guard again told the man to get back in his room or he would […] call the police. Security guy acted like play ground bully. I then noticed that my dog was constantly alert on his evening walk and would not do his business. As I watched my dog watching and starring at the building corners I realized the security guy was spying on me walking my dog. Its ok if u r staying a night or 2, but any longer then that they come up with crazy fees, double rates, and start to spy and harrass. For whatever reason the managment likes their hotel empty (as it usually is). During one horrifc harrassing encounter I said, "why are u treating me like this, Im a paying customer?" I was a very loyal, quiet, and clean customer to this hotel. The behavior of the managment and staff was beyond harrassing, it violated my civil rights (pending litligation), If your gonna stay at this hotel definatley make sure u are not a lone woman...... The managing staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful to say the least. I am in town for a business function and am actually switching hotels due to the hostile environment that is created by managment that is not only directed at the poor hotel staff who walk around with their heads down but also to the paying customers. Good place to spend the night. The breakfast was less than satisfactory, but the beds were clean and the mattresses were relatively comfortable. The shower curtain did not hold in water well, so the bathroom was flooded after showers, a bit of a pain. All in all a good place to go if you just need a place to sleep.

Over all it was good. Someone tried to steal gasoline from my vehicle because the gas cap was off. The desk clerks were all very friendly and accommodating as we were there on an emergency. We stayed a week and they worked with us on discounting the rate.

Floors did not appear to be swept. Carpet was nasty. Bed spreads had stains on them. The furniture fabric was dirty.

Non smoking room was full of cigarette butts under the bed. Was given some spray and basically told to deal with it. Comforter clearly had disgusting stains and they did not replace. Complained to front desk and they could care less. Refused to switch rooms for us, claiming they were booked. Rooms were still available on hotel.com. I enjoyed watching Alabama beat lsu in an instant classic Battle on the Bayou. The Ramada Inn was conveniently located near campus. Although the surrounding area of the hotel was extremely sketchy, the front desk receptionist calmed my nerves with her warm welcome. Hotel could use a deep clean overall. Staff knocked on door and we ask for them to return in an hour. They never came back to service the room. Lavatory was cracked. They had no luggage racks and there was no closet for clothes. Sofa was worn and cushions sagging. Mold in rim of commode. Ice machine was broken and it was much further to find one working.

This cannot be a Ramada Inn...no resemblance. We paid for two nights but left after 10 hours of misery. There were holes in the walls. I could hear everything in the next room. (Fortunately, we were on the end and only had to listen to one.) My nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke poorly concealed by the smell of MOTHBALLS. It was disgusting.

The motel would have been fine except that there was a large gap in the door that let every single outside noise in. There was some sort of Fair going on in the lot next door and a miniature train would pass in front of the room with a bunch if kids ringing bells. When your hotel reservations get cancelled and you need a room at the last minute, this will do. But the blanket had holes in it and the room was very tight so wasn't the preferable place I would like to have stayed.

The room was nice. It was small, but contained a refrigerator, sofa, desk, TV, dresser, and coffee maker. The only real suggestion I would make would be to change out the king-size bed for a queen bed. It would produce more floor space with no loss of comfort. But again, for the size of the room, they put a lot of stuff into it.

We staid at this hotel on our way to a cruise originating in New Orleans. This is the 2nd year we chose to stay at this hotel as we passed through Baton Rouge. The hotel is reasonably priced, has multiple restaurant choices nearby, and provides a great no cost breakfast. Rooms were very small. No space between each bed and also from the bed to the wall.Cops seem to frequent the place regularly. Lots of people walking through the parking lot.

Not too bad for the price. Just didn't like the staff cleaning the place we were having our breakfast at 9:50 whereas we are supposed to be able to eat until 10am. SHe even didn't ask us if we had finished. But the hotel is great overall.

Nice hotel for the price. Same hot breafast every day. Had small fitness room and an outside pool. Room itself was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.
