The hotel was nice enough, especially for an historic building, but I needed to work while there and was not able to stay on the Internet...spent hours with tech support, hotel personnel, "engineers," etc. they finally convinced me it was my computer but after hVing my tech support check it out, it was NOT. We stayed in the Penn's View for 4 nights and loved it. It is so different from so many hotels where all the rooms are the same and are impersonal. This felt like we were staying in a real bedroom, not just a hotel room. Lovely hotel. Close to restaurants and bars. Advertised as walking distance to Constitution Hall but the blocks were long so second day we took the subway for $1.00. We arrived amazingly fast. "Pleasant overnight with great service"
Our reservations were very last minute and we booked the room on a lark just by price and location. We were welcomed after a very late arrival (past midnight). The manager was quite helpful and checked us in quickly. Parking was easily had in an small overnight lot right next to the hotel. We lucked out with a room with a jacuzzi since the hotel was […] nearly full. Despite being next to the expressway the room was quiet. Free Internet access and an unexpected complimentary breakfast buffet in a pleasant, quiet dining room. The meal included fresh waffles, do it yourself boiled eggs, fresh fruit and many other choices. The hotel had the feel of a small European hotel with personal service. We were sorry we were staying only one night but will definitely consider staying there on our next visit to Philly. The surrounding old city with its cobblestone alleys and streets intrigued us. "Just what was needed"
The room was great for the value. Checking in was quick as easy. They still use keys for the door, might need to upgrade. Elevator was slow. Besides that, everything was great. The room was nice and clean and served its purpose. Conveniently located by market street with paid parking right next door. "GREAT hotel in a great location with a great staff"
We stayed at Penns View Hotel for 3 days last week, and it was one I the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Great location on Front and Market, walking distance to everything and right on the Market subway line. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Smaller boutique hotel with a nice bed and great new thick white towels and nice quality toiletries. We […] had a great view of the river and Penns Landing from our room on the third floor. The Panorama restaurant inside of it is also fantastic and known for its large selection of wine "on tap." There's a free breakfast every morning for guests -- probably the best part, with waffle makers and boiling egg baskets etc. By far one of the best hotels in Philadelphia and we will surely be back for our next trip in September!! We had a great time speaking to other guest who were in such a great mood ( talking abt our day's adventure) and it was like a bed breakfast. we loved the hotel and would stay again but would ask for a room towards the back of the hotel, not one that is close to the front (Interstate 95). It was very loud w/the highway so close and at 2am in the morning w/the bars closing and the street right out front. Otherwise, it was awesome. "great little hotel"
The price is great for a hotel in the city. The room has everything that you need ( except a coffee maker, but coffee and hot chocolate available in the lobby). Bed was comfortable. The best thing is the complimentary breakfast in the a.m. They put out everything that you could want. If you are disturbed by traffic noise, this might be a problem for […] you. I stayed 2 times within 10 days. First 3 days on the 3rd floor, I did not notice the noise, but the last day of my trip, I did hear it more on the second floor closer to the road. "Looking for a quick get away?"
My husband and I stayed overnight at Penn's Landing. I was in Philly for a conference that was at the Marriott. I wanted to be near the conference site and Penn's Landing fit the bill. Initially I thought its location on a major street and very close to I95 would be problematic (noisy) but it wasn't. This is the first hotel ever with big, fluffy, thick […] and soft towels. The room seemed small at first but was big enough to not have to squeeze by each other. I do wish the bed was a king and a tad more comfortable. Loved the laminate floors and just an area rug, I hate carpet (allergies). We ere looking for a great dinner place and the clerk on duty made two suggestions. We ended up at a place close by that hadd good food and live entertainment. Since my husband wasn't attending the conference he asked for a late checkout and didn't leave the hotel until 2 pm. Continnental breakfast was included and I was thankful for that because we didn't have to spend $ extra. My only suggestion would be the addition of backout curtains. "Lovely European style hotel"
I really liked Penn's View Hotel. Room was large and well equipped. Staff was very nice and responsive. free wireless and continental breakfast. The breakfast had nice selection of fresh fruit, ability to soft and hard boil eggs. But overall I would rate the breakfast selection at a B. Amazingly, the hotel on Front St fronts onto I-95, but my room was […] remarkably quiet. Location was convenient for me, but it is on the outskirts of Center City. "Could not sleep"
The heater in this room is so loud and blew out cold air. It was a freezing night and I had to turn off the thing and freeze because it became too loud and stuffy to sleep. I also didn't appreciate not being able to close my curtains especially since the rooms are small and you're sleeping right next to the window.Ulasan otentik tamu Hotels.com
