Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pacifica - Pacifica, Amerika Serikat

Normally stay at Embassy Suites or Marriott hotels so I was a little weary of a Holiday Inn- let me just say the staff was awesome! The free hot breakfast was great and the view from our room was beautiful. The only thing was our room was a jr. Suite and it was small but that's about the only thing I could of complained about. This hotel was the most uncomfortable experience yet, and I travel each week on business. While the office/desk area was quite nice, as well as bed and kitchen set up, the bathroom was horrible. the problems were the following; bathroom fan stayed on ALL THE TIME, lights would go on off auto, so you would move constantly in bathroom and hall to keep […] them on while getting ready, the temp was set at 70 and could not be lowered or increased. While you are trying to manage expenses please note that it is very uncomfortable listening to a fan for over an hour while getting ready as well as having lights that auto turnoff during the process as well. All i can say about our stay was that we had reservations for 4 nights and left after 2.When we checked in to our room and first opended the door on the room.It smelled of MOLD.And it smelled of smoke.And its suppose to be a non-smoking hotel.Maybe they should tell the guests in the handicap room that.And that too was a shock.We got a handicap room.No […] thatnks!!So we went down to the desk to ask for another room.And we were offered 5 diffrent types of room spray.Do you think maybe this has occured before.I would say so!! Great stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was terrific too. Location is perfect - walk to the beach next door, or to restaurants.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now. It's the best I've found in the area. Great hotel, extremely helpful staff, good location, etc. Really nothing negative I can say -- except that I hope it doesn't become so popular I can't get a room here anymore!

Everything was fine. The room looked just like the photo on the website. It was quiet and very clean. I liked that their was a microwave and sink in the room. It's nice not to have to leave the room to heat something up. Having to use the bathroom sink to wash something other than my face, is a plus. The front desk people were great! I travel a lot for business and stay in a lot of hotels in this range. This hotel is among the best, maybe the best I've stayed in. The front desk staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. The lobby area is well-maintained and has a great view of the crashing surf. The room was very comfortable: lots of drawer space, comfortable bed, good shower, etc. […] Nice new flat panel TV. Having a fridge, microwave, and even plates and forks made for a great stay of more than a few days. Breakfast is unusually good with a lot of variety. Coffee, hot chocolate, and juice are available 24/7. The only minor complaint I have is that the parking (covered under the hotel) is a bit cramped. But I've seen far worse, and this is really nothing to worry about. In terms of access, the hotel is right on Hwy 1, about 20 minutes from SFO and downtown (30 min in traffic). There are several good restaurants nearby (Nick's and a gourmet hamburger place in easy walking distance, several others a short drive away). Beautiful panoramic view but No bath matt on cold tile,and no morning coffee cups .Very expensive so should have been better taken care of.Staff was nice .We stayed two nites

Nice Hotel (in a small bay on the ocean, lots of windsurfer on the beach) with good organisation and very nice surounding (look at the beach while taking breakfast).

The rooms are adequate, the service was excellent and the view of the ocean from our room was very nice. I would stay here again. A very good value.

If you're looking for a place to stay just outside the San Fran area I suggest you try Pacifica and this hotel. The city is nothing special but this getaway spot is excellent, with great views and a private beach. Check out Half Moon Bay if you're looking for more action though.

The service was very good, cheerful and quick. The amenities were good, rooms clean. And Rockaway Beach is charming, central to most sights and events in the Bay area, including the airport. You will need a car.

Nice clean hotel. Would defininately stay again. Comfortable bed. Nice quiet and relaxing.

First time stay in Pacifica Holiday Inn & Express. Was disappointed that it is somewhat away from any family restaurants. There are two restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. The price menus are expensive. We had to drive down 280S to find other restaurant for our meal. The hotel staff should provide us with addresses and phone numbers of […] local restaurants. Instead we were just vaguely directed to walk behind the parking lot! Breakfast was not good! I never tasted mushy scrambled eggs and syrupy cranberry juice! Hotel is in a great location. South of SFand on the beach. Staff was great with our family. We needed 3 rooms for 6 nights with a few additional request and they were able to meet our needs!

We stayed here for our 24th wedding anniversary.. We got the panoramic view of the ocean room. It had three windows that you could look out. Its an amazing hotel with a spectacular view of the beach. Had a wonderful time. Jacuzzi tub and a electric fire place thing on the wall. Very Cool. Walking distance to everything. Would totally recommend!

Overall experience was OK.. Nothing to rave about. We were looking for two queen beds which is what the hotel confirmation stated. However, they were both full beds. Big difference when you have two adults trying to share one bed. My daughter found a bug on her bed.. Didn't appear to be a bed bug, bug gross never the less. The first two nights were […] OK, but got very noisy as they had more guests. We could hear the cars from the parking lot below us, as well as the people above us. This hotel was very clea, rooms were quiet with the exception of the flags that flapped throughout the night outside of both of the rooms that we reserved. The beds were too hard, pillows not sufficient in comfort. I typically stay at Best Western Lighthouse inn. Found the rooms to be cleaner and fresher than Lighthouse Inn. However, we did not have […] an ocean view and I really missed that. I am uncertain if you could hear the ocean from a different room, but we could hear only street noise and the flags. We had a great stay. There was a small farmers market across the street the night we checked in, also a small business/shopping area with a couple of small restaurants. The best part was the beach only a few steps from the hotel and a great view from some of the breakfast tables and outside on the deck. Room was quiet and good place to relax after a working vacation day. Room had no view of the beach but could have upgraded for a view. Public access to beach and trails right next to hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was great.

This is a extremely clean and comfortable Best Western. The hotel staff and management was far and away the most friendly and helpful of any hotel I've stayed at that was less than $350 a night. They treated you like you were at a bed and breakfast or a luxury hotel. There is a pretty view of the beach from the breakfast room/lobby and a few restaurants […] within walking distance. Short of the comfort that a hotel like Sofitel would offer, this was the best hotel room my boyfriend and I had stayed in, by far. We had a wonderful view of the shore, the fireplace and couch in the room made the experience super cosy, and the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The furniture was brand new (they seem to have updated it […] after just a few years of usage of the old one), and the only thing that could have been more perfect would have been a less sugary breakfast and better weather - the latter of which certainly is not the hotel's fault. The hotel might have a lower star rating because there is no gym (who needs a gym at the Sea next to plenty of walking and biking paths), there are no conference facilities (again, who needs to work when vacationing at the Sea), and there is no restaurant in the hotel (but there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance, and all of them deliver to your room). The hotel is small enough to be quiet and friendly but large enough to provide a variety of amenities. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The reception staff helped us to arrange trips and gave us lots of information and advice about the area. They even arranged for breakfast to be available 45 minutes earlier than normal so that we could […] have breakfast early prior to going on a trip. In reception there were always apples and hot drinks available and yummy cookies in the afternoon. Our room was large and furnished to a good standard. The room rate was very good value. Although we were warned about the mist the weather was warm and pleasant during the 4 days of our stay in late June early July. I found this hotel by using Hotels.com. I had never been to the Pacifica area, and truthfully I wanted to stay in Half Moon Bay. But when I saw that this hotel was offering “Ocean View Suites” at comparable rates as the standard rooms in Half moon Bay, I was intrigued. I researched the amenities offered, and I jumped at it… And we could not have been […] happier. We actually upgraded the room for a double person jacuzzi and we were in heaven. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and what a treat to be able to actually open the windows to hear & smell the ocean. We awoke and had their continental breakfast (not packaged muffins and juice boxes—actual food: cheese omelets, sausage, muffins, bagels, variety of cereals, juices, coffee, milk, and fruit!!) We really enjoyed spending the day at their beach/cove area—tops 100 ft away. Oh, and I must not leave out the staff. Really it was just Chuck, everyone else was friendly and courteous, but Chuck really made our stay pleasant and made it his personal duty to cater to our need. Thank you sir. We will be back! although this hotel sits right on the beach the only view we got was eating our breakfast outside on the damp chairs very close to one another in the corner of the deck:( the beds were comfortable and the soaps & lotion smelled like cinnamon rolls. umm, umm. the staff was very polite.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as not all reviews were complimentary. But - we were very happy with our stay. The front desk went out of there way to help us with all of our questions. One feature we loved was the laptop w/printer in the lobby so we could print off directions for our next destination. Breakfast was sort of typical hotel […] breakfast, but this breakfast was definitely a step above other "chain" hotel offerings. Rooms were clean...no view, but we knew that when we booked the room. Located one block from the Pacific Ocean, the staff is respectble, helpful and courteous. Good breakfast. Free WI-Fi. Take the room with the ocean view, if you can. Simply breathtaking!
