Overall we had a good stay here.It's a very convenient location for our work. the only issue I had was that the carpet was pretty nasty...need a deep deep cleaning or just flat out replaced. The employees were helpful and friendly.

The location of the hotel is Ghetto. The hotel was ok but I was worried about my car outside as soon as I pulled up.

Upgrade me to a suite at no extra charge.

Outdated and run down, but clean. Futon wasn't fit to sleep on. I ended up sleepin on the window seat, which, luckily, was very comfortable. Not horrid, but not good either.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, check in staff friendly. Little out in the middle of nowhere, noise from freeway when your outside. It was a great deal through Hotels.com

We (myself, my boyfriend and our 8 week old baby) enjoyed our stay here. The was very clean and comfortable. The stag was very nice and courteous when we checked in. he even gave us a complimentary upgrade to the suite. We originally booked just a regular queen room. Staff was nice, don't get a smoking room, whole floor stinks of pot, saw some hookers and pimps, gangsters, staff was nice, hotel rooms are very dated and of poor quality, almost motel 6 style. Would not return. Again, the staff was very nice and proactive but the hotel, as an asset in real estate has some renovations and could use some updating. Price […] was good enough for an internet booking. Location was hard to find. Surrounding areo is dull. Modesto is a few blocks away, I would have liked to stay there instead, somewhere downtown, which has charm and life. They mean well at Microtell, it just doesn't get exectuted in action. hotel staff are exceptionally friendly, hotel is well maintain, very quiet, and smell really CLEAN

the room I got was facing the highway (despite my request that I need one to be facing away from the highway, I got one that faced it, from the first clerk) and it was so noisy that I had trouble sleeping...the 2nd clerk was very helpful and we changed one to the back the 2nd night and it was much quieter... not recommending it unless you get a back […] room. The breakfast was worse than average. Muffins and pastries were dry.

I stayed at the Microtel with my husband and 2 small children over the Thanksgiving hotel. The staff were extremely courteous, the hotel and room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we overall had a great experience. The continental breakfast looked fine but we didn't partake.

Pleasantly surprised. Clean, comfortable room. Disappointed in breakfast. Lots of carbs (waffles, muffins, bagels, toast), no protein, no fruit, 3 choices of kids sugar cereals, juice-apple or orange.

We were very happy with how friendly the young lady at the front desk was. Although she had to work on Thanksgiving day she had a smile on her face every time we saw he and always said hi and bye. Surrounding neighborhood not so good, but hotel felt safe and secure. Rooms are small, but very clean and quiet. Easy on/off the 99 freeway, fast food and dollar store half block from motel. Would highly recommend. Can't beat it for the price!

It was clean and for the price not bad. But the rooms are extremely small and made us a bit closterphobic.

We got a good deal so stayed at this hotel for one night. It is an older hotel that is starting to show wear but is still fairly decent. It could use some maintenance. We got there late but did not have trouble checking in and they still had a good room. Breakfast buffet was as other reviews had described it, a little skimpy and not as fresh as it could […] have been, but it was free. Booked this hotel on the mid way to Yosemite. Hotel condition and price both beyond our expectation. Room is clean and comfortable. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a no-frills place to stay for one night. The receptionist seemed very un-welcoming and made us feel that we should NOT ask any question. The complimentary continental breakfast was very ordinary and looked un-hygienic.

I really like this hotel at Modesto Area, convenience, clean, comfortable, nice people at front desk, easy freeway access & stores near by! Not the greatest part of Modesto, but overall, good Hotel to stay in! /thank you Microtel Inn

Overall it was a good night. Night Staff was very friendly. Breakfast could have had more fruit. We do not eat sugar or bread so the fruit was a must for us and cereal without sugar.

Booked hotel last minute for my sons baseball tournament in Modesto. Stayed @ the Modesto Ramana Inn before(will never do that again) a short drive to baseball park but well worth it for the experience & great deal.We stayed in the queen suite. Hotel is smelly... hallway smells like smoke, room smells like smoke+wet carpet. Carpet was still damp. Night staff wasn't knowledgeable. I asked her for a room away from the road. She ignored me. Asked her about the location of the fitness room, she doesn't know. AC was loud.

Clean, efficient, easy to park. Nice for a roadside stay-over.

We spent the night here on the way from San Francisco to Yosemite. It is nothing fancy, but the waffles at breakfast were good. The location is close to the Interstate, but within a mile of some poor neighborhoods. The rooms were clean, the hotel was in good condition, and the price was reasonable.

We needed a place to stay for the weekend and this place did the job for us, the staff was nice, our room was clean, and the location was close to everything.

A really nice and clean hotel, that is pretty new. Rooms were slightly on the small side, but very clean and well equipped. Wifi was free and continental breakfast was fine. Pool was clean, though small. Some noise from route 99, but inside hotel no noise at all.

The room is horribly small. Hardly any room to walk around the room with 2 queen beds. Reservations said it accomodates 5 ... had to move fridge out of the way to fit a roll out bed. TV was screwed on top of a very high and slanted shelf...weirdest thing I've ever seen even in a motel room. Pool was also micro... thank God we had it to ourselves at […] the time we used it. Otherwise a dozen people would have made it very awkward to swim about. Fridge did not work right. Bathroom vent was useless. It is right by the freeway so sleep is not an option. This hotel is very, very basic. Breakfast is Carbs only. No actual creamer for coffee only powder. We were upgraded to a Queen suite because we had booked a one bedroom queen by accident. When I asked for a roll away they said the room is too small and a roll away would not fit. I thought to my self wow Microtel IS not just a cleaver name. The hotel was a good basic hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

Clean stay with close access to freeway. The room and facility were in very good condition and it was very quiet. Free continental breakfast and internet was appreciated as well.

NICE PEOPLE AND AREA WAS EASY ON OFF FREEWAY

Upon checking into the hotel, the front desk clerk upgraded me to a suite at no additional charge and without my asking. I had originally made reservations for two nights, and when I needed to extend my stay for two additional nights the clerk matched the price from Hotels.com which saved me some money over their posted rate. The room was extremely […] clean and had a microwave, fridge, and a wet bar. There was a table for two, a desk, and a couch that I believe was a hide-a-bed. There was also a safe deposit box in the room. The room was quite spacious and the bathroom was plenty large as well. The only downsides to the room was the air conditioner compressor was quite loud, but I can sleep through most anything. I don't know if this applies to all of their unit or just to the room I was in. The other fly in the ointment was there was no electrical outlet at the desk. Luckily, I have a new battery for my laptop and can go three hours on a charge. Again, I don't know if this is a common issue in all of their rooms. The breakfast was more than adequate and while nothing fancy, it was better than average for hotel free food in the morning. It is in an industrial area off of Highway 99, but don't let that worry you. It was quiet and clean and there didn't seem to be any issues with unsavory characters lurking in the shadows. While there isn't really anyplace within walking distance to eat, there is a large number of restaurants and stores less than a mile away, so finding a place for lunch and dinner isn't a problem. While I did not use the swimming pool, it did look like it would be a refreshing escape from the triple digit heat that is common in the valley in the summer months. While it is not a five star resort, it is well worth the price and I was very pleased and somewhat surprised at the quality of the property for the price I paid. It is good for short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite which we really appreciated.

Reasonable price and hotel is clean and has all basic ammenities, nothing fancy, but all in good condition and in working order. Would recommend for short or long term stay.

The room is very clean very clean lines microwave refrigerator little bar sink with cabinet At bottom and top Similar to a dorm room. Very comfortable. bathroom Had limited counter space, but still a good size. Definitely stay there again.

Hotel was in a decent location (easily accessible to the freeway) and the area seemed fairly safe. I was happy with the room after the desk clerk allowed us to upgrade the room for only $5 for the night. The breakfast provided was fairly basic, but served its purpose in convenience.

Spent the weekend the family. Got this hotel to save money half the cost as the Doubletree. I was surprise that the room quality was comparable. Of course size is smaller, but we figure it is just a place to sleep. Our main concern was for our little one, so cleanliness was very important. One complaint I have is that the third floor had some smoking […] rooms and we can smell the smoke in the hallway. One fix that would make this hotel better is put all smoking rooms on the top floor in one corner not by the elevator. We love the continental breakfast that in it self pays for the stay. As a female traveling alone with a Uhaul trailer, I was concerned with safety and this place made me feel safe and comfortable. It was very clean and up to date. There was road noise through the window facing the highway, but not a big deal in my opinion.

clean and comfortable hotel. with friendly professional staff. convenient location for travelers. The room I had was very large. I upgraded to the mini-suite so that I could have the microwave and fridge. The room had a nice little kitchen area with a sink and plenty of cabinets for storage. It could probably use some freshening up--just due to the age, NOT form lack cleanliness, or from being over-warn. The bed was very comfortable. My room overlooked a self storage facility, and some sort of industrial building. But I think that's what you get in that area. I was not bothered by any outside noises. Wow who knew there would be a nice hotel here! Young super friendly girl at desk upgraded me to a suite. full kitchen, desks, couches, even a bed in the window! Free wifi worked great, super clean, just all around great hotel.
