For a Holiday Inn, this was not a great example. We had to haul baggage up flights of stairs since there was no lift. The room was dirty with hair in the shower and a bad smell in the room. The beds were uncomfortable. I rarely leave poor reviews, but I would not consider this hotel in the future.

The Hotel is about 3 miles from Manchester Airport with an hourly shuttle £5.00 / person. The room was clean and tidy but very small (about 10foot square) with a 7foot square bathroom. There is a small TV with limited service. I asked for a local map but none was available not even one located on a wall. The Restaurant and Bar were pleasant and reasonable […] in price. All the staff at this hotel are very helpfull and polite. Nothing it seems is too much trouble for them. Some of the rooms a a tad on the small side, but hey your only sleeping there. After a long flight it was really nice to settle into the Holiday Inn Manchester Airport. My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before official check in times, however they were able to check us in right away into our room. There was no shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. This was not mentioned on the reservation. The toll free number of the hotel was not attainable because we had a foreign phone. This hotel is not forthcoming in disclosing that they have discontinued shuttle service from the airport. Instead they call a taxi and charge the guest. More importantly they were disorganized about the pick up arrangements and I ended up waiting over two hours for a 2 mile ride to the hotel. From booking to bedroom, the experience through Expedia and Holiday Inn was as it should be. Everything was in place from catching the plane to arriving at the Holiday Inn. The Inn itself is in a rural location near the Airport with good facilities, friendly and helpful staff. I would certainly return there if I needed to be in the area again.
