I really liked the room itself however it was a little warm and never quite cooled off enough in the living area. The room was very spacious and comfortable but I didn't like the fact that the pool closed at 10 and they actually stood outside the gate until we got our things together to get out that was very uncomfortable. The room was so clean and much bigger than I had expected. The service at the front desk was very polite and prompt, and everyone was very sweet. Great stay especially since we were only a couple minutes from the river walk. I would definitely come back.

Seemed to have several problems - couldn't get wireless network up and going even after spending 45 minutes on the phone with tech support - she said she could see we had connectivity - but we couldn't get the internet to connect. Finally just connected with an intranet cord. Also refrigerator in room wasn't working - they did come and switch it out. […] Even though there were 4 of us staying in the room we only got 3 towels each time they restocked. The good: Nice hotel. Great proximity to Riverwalk and Alamo. Rooms were large with a seating area. Very clean. Friendly desk staff. The bad: Breakfast was a terrible experience, not nearly enough seating - not even close, had to wait for a table then had to eat with people standing all around me like vultures waiting for my table, terrible breakfast […] food stocking...ran out of food and took forever to replace the food. I waited over 30 minutes for some new biscuits and gravy and eggs, after 30 minutes, some new biscuits showed up, but nothing else. I liked the room layout as far as sofa bed and privacy door & 2 televisions but bathroom is tight, due to the busy season -breakfast was super busy and was never able to get wi-fi. Close to everything. Overall a good deal.

This hotel needs upgrading. the room are very gloomy. Not enough lighting in the rooms. Dark walls. Dark carpeting. Reception area was not presentable. I was very disappointed in this setting.

After checking in, we were going to the Riverwalk and asked the clerk if they had a shuttle and she said that they did not but we could catch a trolley. We asked her where and she said that it was over by the Fairfield and to look for the yellow route. We asked her where that was at and she just kind of waved her hand in the direction, we asked her […] what street we should go to and she made some comment. There was no one waiting or needing help so I don't know why she was so short and not helpful with us. The next morning we found they had a pad of town maps and we got one from the desk clerk who marked where the hotel was. We also never did find the yellow trolley after going to about 3 bus stops, we ended up walking. When coming back that night we were told by a San Antonio information person that we wanted the red trolley and it would only take us sp far and that he was unaware of a yellow trolley that went as far as we were told by the desk clerk. Employees were great. Rooms were very clean. We were out early to go to stock show to go watch our daughter show her pig and the lady at the desk gave us a breakfast bag for my daughter so that she could have breakfast a little later. I liked that. We will return to this hotel next year.

overall pretty good; however, there is a biker bar right behind the hotel. We are bikers and was on our bike for this trip. Mid-week we hear some, then Thursday night it was difficult to sleep. Can't image how bad it would have been Friday and Saturday!

I stayed at this hotel January 2013 with a big group of friends. I usually stay in nicer chained hotels on the riverwalk when visiting San Antonio. My friends were staying here and I didnt want to be difficult. I was a little iffy about staying at this hotel because of previous reviews. Mind you - I have never written a hotel review before. But in this […] case I was impressed enough to take the time to set the record strait. This hotel was absolutely worth the money paid. ($89 with taxes & fees) The rooms are huge, nice and up to date. They offer a seperate sitting area with pull out sofa. All ammenities needed for an extended stay. Also two bedroom suites and jacuzzi suites available with the hot tube in its own separate room. The continental breakfast offers the usuals plus pre-made omeletes, bacon and self made pancakes. It is located a few blocks from the market square and just around the corner from the river walk. The hotel has a shuttle that is free and runs until 9pm. The staff was all very friendly. I dont think you will be disappointed. I'll most likely stay here again. Baca selengkapnya

We pulled up to the hotel and it's right across from a biker bar!!! Not much sleep that night, the bikes were kinda loud!!!! Will not stay there again!!!! Staff was rude at check in to my sister!!

While the overall hotel itself was fantastic, it's right next to train tracks or something that blares a horn all through the night and I was never able to get a good full night's rest. Also our room didn't have towels when we first got in so we had to call for towels. Where should I begin...oh yes....RODENTS! While in the lounge/breakfast area one night, a mouse scurried around and disappeared under the cabinet where the food is served! Our room never seemed to cool off in the front part. The hotel does not have enough parking for all of its guests. My husband and I were on a romantic 3 day get away and we really enjoyed our stay at the holiday inn, not as close to the riverwalk as told but still not too far (maybe 5 blocks away) the room was very clean and the staff super nice!! I would definitely stay there again!!! ;)

I liked everything about the hotel. The only thing was that we were on the first floor and our upstairs neighbors were extremely loud late night!!!! So it was difficult to get to sleep.

Got in about 15 mins after check-in and had to wait over 45 mins for a clean room to be available. But we got a free upgrade which was nice! Beautiful room! The wi-fi sucks! If you would walk away from your tablet/laptop for even a few minutes you would be kicked off the network! And sometimes it would say "too many people logged". I inquired about […] it but the clerk said that he would contact the tech about "releasing more ip addresses", which of course did not help. The breakfast is awesome! Better than most hotels who serve the "coffee and one-pastry" thing! You get a FULL breakfast from 6:30 a.m - 9:30 a.m! Small area for dining though but the breakfast was two thumbs up! It looks like there's only one elevator in the building. It is really slooww....maybe needs upgrading. Can't help it but there are some businesses close by that house heavy vehicles of the sort. Was very noisy a few mornings with the sound of big trucks and annoying forklifts! The Riverwalk is not far...maybe a 7-10 minute walk. Better than paying for parking ($10-$20) at nearby "parking-lots". Great shopping and dining all over, especially at the Riverwalk Mall. Overall it was an alright and pleasant stay! If you're on a budget and cannot stay at the more flashier spots like the Marriot and the Hilton then this would be an awesome location for you! Baca selengkapnya

Female at front desk was very cold and rude. Never smiled, and more importantly, when I asked if I could swap rooms with one king instead of 2 queens and because I needed to sleep, the sun was coming in thru the windows (did not have any heavy drapes to block sun), she told me to call in and cancel my reservation, and then call in and make another reservation. […] The sun coming in thru the sheer curtains was blinding, and never could sleep. I enjoyed my stay. I thought the breakfast was lacking from other hotels. I also left my cell phone charger in the room and when I called to tell the hotel they said it was not in their lost and found. they said someone else was already in the room but they would go check the room. I was put on hold and when they came back they said it was not in there. […] So knowing for sure I left it in the room two things could have happened, the house cleaning crew took it or the new occupants took it. was good ehhh had some minor flaws like lipstick on a paper towel bowl in the bathroom other than that very clean room. beds were stiff but still a pleasant sleep. surrounding neighborhood was ok nothing to sightful just highway and a bread warehouse.

The room was huge, but the comforter was nasty, saw white spots all over it. The halls and rooms smelt like mildew. It was a long walk to the river walk, and it was in a rough area of town. Right behind the hotel is a mexican bar, adn they had an outdoor mexican concert going on, and you could hear that through most of the night. WE did not get much […] sleep that night.
