Yes..that's right..it takes me a lot to complain,but let's see..the hotel is a little run down,dirty,lacks proper parking,is right next to a noisy highway,and let's not forget that they put us on the smoking floor,and there was a constant cloud of dope smoke lingering in the hallways,I have children too...oh and how about the hookers in and out doors […] slamming all night long!!Stay away from this hotel if you are like me and don't apprecite being in the middle of a drug dealers haven!! "dirty bed sheets"
we got to the hotel at 1:00 in morning only to find that the sheets on one of the beds were dirty and smelly - the front desk responded promptly but we had to stay awake for another 1 hour while he was trying to figure things out
"Great for the money."
We stayed there with our grandchildren and had a good experience. The hotel is located in a very busy area right next to the freeway. It is easy to miss when you get off the freeway and almost imposssible to get back to. The staff was great and our room was clean.

The elevator did not work when I arrived, and my room was on the fifth floor. I was uneasy about using it even after it was repaired. Right alongside the Long Island Expressway, the room was noisy all night.

"Good place in afforadble price"
Front desk help and service was great. Room was clean, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom with all facilities. Shuttle to and from subway was right on time. Woodhaven station is 10 minutes drive from hotel. They don't have shuttles to and from JFK, 10 minutes drive from hotel to JFK airport (22$ - taxi meter). "Convenient location near LaGuardia"
This hotel was a good choice, as we were arriving at La Guardia at 11:30 pm. The free shuttle picked us up at the airport and transported us the next morning to the subway. The desk clerk was so helpful when we checked in, by giving us all the directions to go to Manhattan in the morning. And we enjoyed the breakfast.

Very helpful front desk staff for my few minor needs in my 3-day stay. The room was very clean and very comfortable, at a very fair price. Slept like a baby, and I usually don't in a hotel. I had two nit-picking issues: the desk chair had little padding, so when sat there typing on my laptop for a few hours, I needed to get a pillow to sit on; and, […] the cable channel choice was somewhat limited [you can tell how good the hotel is if those were my problems....]. "Great affordable choice for visiting Manhattan"
We chose this hotel mainly for the its low rate and the fact that it offered free shuttle service between the hotel, LaGuardia Airport and a nearby subway stop (the Woodhaven stop on the M/R line). But if you plan to catch a late train out of Manhattan back to the hotel, be forewarned: The Woodhaven stop is CLOSED due to construction late at night so […] you won't be able to get off there to get the free shuttle back to the hotel. We had to get off several stops away and take a cab back to the hotel. Our room had two double beds. Each came with four pillows: two labeled "hard" and two labeled "soft". All four pillows were quite comfortable, but strangely, the beds did not have a comforter or bedspread. It only had a very thin throw-type blanket at the foot of each bed. We had to keep the heat running all night while we slept in order to stay warm (we were there in ebruary). The continental breakfast did not offer fruit which was disappointing. They offered pancakes, cold cereals, muffins and juice. Also wished the room came with either a microwave or refrigerator but it did not come with either. "Horrible Experience"
I live in Long Island and had a work event early the following morning and decided to stay closer to the city... Found this hotel on the way and figured all Holiday Inns are pretty safe.. WRONG... My husband and I got in a little late and immediatelycrashed. We woke up the following morning and noticed brown marks on the sheets (rust colored like makeup, […] NOT MINE) I have pics to prove... Secondly there were balls of hair all over the carpet (had not been vaccumed, I have an extremely short cut, again NOT MINE) I had booked it on your site and knew I couldnt ask the hotel back for my money and was not in the mood for a fight. The only saving grace is I did not refer any of my companies atendees/vendors to stay her and booked rooms at the Charter Club in NYC.. Horrific gross dirty hotel.. My advice.. The hotel was definitely nicer than others we've stayed at near the airport. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful-when we asked about early check-in they accommodated us and also provided a refrigerator. Dont stay here unless you cant book another hotel somewhere else. The front desk personnel were rude, one young man was too busy on his cell phone to even check us in. The location is hard to find doesn't come up right on GPS. The rooms are small, and the beds are horrible. My boyfriend and I stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and polite. "A Nice Place to Stay..."
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I stayed in similar hotel in Michigan the previous weekend. It had a spa that I loved very much. This one in NY did not have a spa or a swimming pool which I greatly looked forwared to. Nothwithstanding, it was worth the stay.

"Outstanding Crew"
This was our first trip to the "BIG APPLE" and was business not pleasure but the hotel staff was so outstanding that we are planning a trip back for pleasure. They went above the call of duty. We had a business meeting and checked out the day of the meeting and needed to leave our luggage there until we returned and they allowed us to leave it there. […] Once we returned we had almost 4 hours til our flight so they offered us a courtesy shuttle to the mall even thought we had checked out already. Not only did they take us to the mall but came back and picked us up then took us to the airport for our flight. If you wanted to be treated like a special guest then this is the place for you. The two nights there worked out well. It was close to the L I Expressway, which made it convenient because I traveled to Manhattan each day. Everything was very good or adequate....maid service, complimentary breakfast, cleanliness, friendliness of staff
"Okay hotel in an okay place"
This hotel was not what I was expecting. While the rooms were clean, most of the Holiday Inns I have stayed at have excellent customer service. This hotel was seriously lacking in that department. The staff was completely uninterested in customer concerns and sometimes was not even present at the desk. "great for nooners, not for guests"
i was surprised to find that my garden level room had an a/c unit that didn't work, the coffee pot already had stains in it, the plug ins in the lamp did not work, and the bed was like a rock.
easy access from major NY HIGHWAYS and to subway and bus lines... helpful staff, clean environment,ask for room away from the highways.. nothing in walking distance as far as restaurants go...

"La Guardia Airport"
It's hard for us to rate the hotel because we were only there for a few hours. We stayed overnight and left at 4:30 in the morning to catch a flight at 6:00. The hotel should think about this time, since La Guardia is pretty busy and leaving the Hotel at 4:30 in the morning is cutting it short. Also, Maybe your Hotel can have some muffins or something […] to take with us on the way to the Airport, since it's so early and your breakfast does not start til 6:00 A.M. They don't have a restaurant but pleased that they did have coffee in the evening, in the lobby and in the room. They also have orange juice, in case you want some before 6:00 a.m. Overall, we had a good stay. We only stayed there because of the free shuttle to the airport and not far from it. but being located in the basement perhaps explains the dungeon like feel of the room, in NY where property is at a premium. the ceiling was high, no window. You would probably not choose to walk around the neighborhood. the location is quite close to LGA however and the clientele were businessman types. "Clean, Newer, and many free choices"
I stayed here for a whole week though my flight is to JFK, not Laguardia Airport. Staffs were very helpful. The room is clean, new. It offers free internet service, breakfast, and shuttle. The breakfast is very good-has everything from boiled eggs to cereal, toast, doughnuts...It's very convenient to take subway to Manhattan, no problem. We got the […] room on the freeway side. This was an easy hotel to find as I drove in from Philadelphia. My stay was strictly to bring my daughter to a summer program at Fordham, in the Bronx. It was a good location. about 10 miles away.
