The Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport, situated in Andheri East, is one of the busiest airports in India. The international airport is named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhonsle, a 17th-century Maratha Emperor. This area is surrounded by shopping, authentic craft markets, and restaurants. Within a 10km radius from the area are prominent business districts like the Bandra-Kurla complex and the Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ). Other popular local attractions include NSE Exhibition Centre, Borovilli National Park, Film City, and the Bombay Museum. Pre-paid taxis to the city centre are good value, and there are also less expensive (and slower) buses to travel around in.

When I arrived the hotel staff took care of my bags for me. I walked into my room in amazement. This luxury hotel overlooked the ghetto next door who played loud music until about 2 am. I went into the bathroom to find hair in the bathtub but I just washed it out. Considering the area it is a nice hotel and cheap for a 5 star but the cost of the room […] is not expensive. Beautiful hotel very close to international airport. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Food excellent, though somewhat expensive. Fantastic gym, spa and swimming pool.

The hotel is average for 5-star. Food is very good, but expensive. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel transport to the airport was an absolute rip-off for an 0.8 mile trip.

Do not stay in this hotel - it should not be Intercontinental branded; well below standard. The rooms are poorly maintained and need renovation (Old, Smelly, moisture)

The experience at the InterContinental The Lalit was good. The staff were friendly and security great. There was so much variety for breakfast.

"Not recommended"
There are a lot of caveats while booking this hotel. I booked the hotel, but upon arrival had to wait more than 30 minutes as my reservation was not found. Later I was accomodated in a room, in which the Airconditioner was functioning but the thermostat was not. Also there was no complementary breakfast when booking through hotels.com. Also there is […] water and cold beverages in the mini bar in the room (but they are not complementary either). The pickup and drop is also not complementary when booking through hotels.com So I ended up paying more than 18-25% more than the budgeted/specified amount. "Poor Room Maintenance for top rated hotel"
All rooms are renovated to look great but there is poor attention to detail on the essentials. My first room had major paint chipping off around the faucet. I felt like I was in a cheap motel. The bathroom scale was a relic collector's item too. When I complained about the chipping paint, I was kindly upgraded but unfortunately the air conditioner […] was broken in this new room (and set at a freezing temperature). The maintainence crew were in my room until midnight trying to fix it...which they did not. I just curled up under my blanket and waited for check-out. "日本ホテルのサービスとほぼ一緒"
このホテルは日本ホテルのサービスレベルぐらいサービスはよかったです。歯ブラシ、ヒゲソリ、スリッパ等普通海外のホテルにないアイテムそろっていました。宿泊する予定前日の朝4時に到着しましたが、追加料金なしで泊めてくれました。かなりお勧めするホテルです。
