Kihei has many big-city amenities, including notable restaurants. Here, visitors can sample Hawaiian cuisine and learn about the state’s obsession with SPAM, the canned meat. Kihei’s beaches—Kamaole, Keawakapu, Kihei, and Mai Poina—are good for walking, swimming, and windsurfing. Makena Beach, south of Kihei, is aptly nicknamed the Big Beach. This beach is 100 yards wide and almost a mile long.

When we ordered the "hotel" that wasn't clear cleaning and clean towels services are not provided so we had to wash the towels and clean ourselves. When taking those points into your considerations, the "hotel" is very good, a nearby beach, good pool, private kitchen big unit and friendly stuff.
"Great Getaway to Maui!"
We were very impressed with the hotel along with its excellent location and lovely view. Didn't know what to expect b/c of the reasonable cost, but should not have worried- it was great for staying several nights. The only thing we would note is that the bed linens could be updated, but that certainly didn't take away from a lovely experience.

Kauhale Makai - Maui Condo & Home Great place to stay. The room we stayed in had one problem and that was a tree right outside the room which took away the view. Other than that nice place to stay. would stay there again but ask for a room more up front ,since the building is shaped like the letter ( A ). With the point of ( A ) towards the ocean.
"Disappointed"
The unit needs updated. Major impression was brown on brown. We have rental properties in Florida and we would be unable to rent units in this condition. the mattresses should be replaced and the televisions were right out of the eighties. All in all major disappointment.

Serious maintenance needs to be completed for this condo to be considered a pleasant place to stay. The location in Kihei and the desk servce was excellent.

It wasn't a 5 star hotel, but it was exactly as advertised. Close to everywhere. The concierge service did a great job of setting us up for the right activities. Clean, well equipped and comfortable, would gladly recommend to anyone desiring a vacation without the 5 star resort expense.

la camera era migliore di quanto ci aspettassimo, struttura ben organizzata ( devo dire un po' rigidi con gli orari), l'ideale per chi non vuole spendere troppo. si gode di un'ottima vista sull'oceano, credo da tutte le camere.
