We stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, for several days. The hotel was very basic; tea/instant coffee (not replaced. The room was small, the small shower had no sides, just a curtain, and very difficult to turn around. We did not eat at the restaurant;, and only ordered coffee with the room service. The price for 2 cups of coffee was $12.00, and even […] though we refussed to bring it up. The Hotel was emailed 2 months prior that we were going to need an early airport shuttle at 5:00 a.m. However, at check-in, we were told they did not offer shuttles before 7:00 a.m. and we were to hire a taxi. Hotel got the taxi and told us the fare would be approximately $40 to $45; however, upon arrival the fare was $70. Hotels require a deposit on a credit card; but checking out, we were informed that this deposit would not be returned for 2 WEEKS. Our room had been recently refurbished and has a fine view over the Colonial Cemetery as opposed to a race course view. The shower and bathroom floor had smooth tiles so care was needed getting in and out of the shower.All in all a comfortable stay and we will book this hotel again in July.

I have booked this hotel for my husband and my son to visit my daughter for only two days. They both were very pleased with the services they have got. It is clean, big room and best location to travel HK island, and out side of it. They have recomend their friends to stay this hotel. I will stay next time too.

Hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly but location next to Happy Valley out of way tho shuttles to Central, etc. available. Also free shuttle from airport train station but only once per hour (:50). A good value hotel within easy commuting distance of the Central business and entertainmet districts. Top floor room had a great view and was spacious. TV good. Missed a bath but very rarely use one.

All the staff where very helpful. Gave suggestions and clear directions. Spacious for a HK hotel of this price. Everything was neat, clean and the hotel smells nice. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but pretty good. The free shuttle bus service was extremely helpful, as its quite a bit of a walk from any MTR stations, especially with luggages. HK's a […] fast paced city, so the good part of the hotel's location is that you can return to an evening of quietness. Thats if you don't happen to have active kids as neighbours to wake you the next morning. Walls of rooms are a tad thin. But then, i am a light sleeper. Taking a cab from Central station didn't cost much (aprox. $30-ish HKD). Would be a good idea to print the address and name of hotel out in the mandarin characters, if you cant speak cantonese. No free wifi in my room, although the hotel had thought about giving everyone ipod docking stations (a little strange to have one and not the other). The hotel was clean and reasonable well looked after, although some of the furniture is a little dated and in disrepair. The hotel is clean, the breakfast adequate, concierge staff helpful. There is a shuttle bus, plus public tram and bus at the door and short bus/tram ride to MTR. Downside is the 10 minute walk to any shops/restaurants. This makes it unsuitable if you have young children or need to run to the local shop regularly. It did not bother us. We are a family of 4 people and the sleeping arrangement was two double beds for the four of us. This is not a satisfactory arrangement for a family with two children. We complained and were upgraded at a cost to a larger suite with two single beds and a large double. Rooms are generally compact however the upgraded suite was excellent .

I rated everything 5 except "Comfort of your room" which I rated 4. It seem the room temperature is more geared towards air conditioning. We were a little cold even when we set the temperature to the highest setting. Otherwise, everything was good.

Good hotel in a convenient part of town, we had a pleasant stay at the Cosmopolitan for three nights in Dec 12. It's a short walk from Causeway Bay MTR station, which is only three stops from the city centre, or the walk into the centre takes about 20 mins.

Nice enough, very difficult to get a cab quickly if you need one in a hurry. Staff VERY helpful and friendly. Breakfast ok for Hong Kong.
