You would probably never think of staying here if not for the great reviews. It is an unassuming building. But the beds are comfortable and the room is exceptionally clean, on par with any I have stayed in. The only negative is that they are smaller rooms. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Great that they had a frig and micro in room. Very near downtown. Never ran out of hot water. They first put me in a really weird room location because I wanted second floor and most of their rooms were booked I think it was rm 218...its kind of separated from the rest of the rooms...you wouldn't know it was there, kind of like the 13th floor. Very comfortable, clean, and friendly. Even had nice sized refrigerator and microwave. Across the street from Northern Arizona University, and just down the hill from Lowell Observatory. Comfortable beds, quiet and efficient heating/cooling unit. Across the street from a huge natural foods grocery store and convenient to downtown. Our stay at the Highland Country Inn was great. The rooms are very clean and appear to have been recently remodeled. There was a microwave and small fridge in each of the rooms which is a great feature when travelling. Comfortable beds gave us a good nights sleep.
