El Camino Real, the colonial road that ran through Bernalillo, once led to Mexico City. The community’s rich history is reflected at the Coronado State Monument, the site conquistador Francisco Vásquez de Coronado is thought to have encountered in 1540 while searching for the fabled Seven Cities of Gold. Bernalillo is also known for its annual wine festival, the largest in New Mexico.

"Be careful"
I booked this hotel because it was well located to my travel and it was a non-smoking facility. However, be very careful. When I arrived the room smelled of smoke and when I got my statement I was changed a $500 penalty for smoking. I don't smoke. "Too bad"
At check-in I was told the hotel provided a full breakfast with bacon and sausage. When I got to breakfast the next morning, though, there was no bacon OR sausage. When I asked the lady in charge, she said, "Oh, hon, we serve meat every OTHER day." What? Anyway . . . The room was very nice, but it was non-smoking and it smelled of smoke. The location of the hotel was perfect for my rail runner trip into Santa Fe,to Rio Rancho and Albuquerque.

very nice place to stay on our trip to Utah. we have used this hotel before and we will use it again.
"Planning to attend a soccer tournament in Bernalillo"
This hotel is modern and clean. It is great to wake in the morning and have breakfast before you head out to the soccer fields. If you want to gamble at night, Santa Ana is close by to enjoy the night.

"Great room for the price"
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The blackout drape worked well and towels were ample in supply. We used the spa and it was nice. The pool is an indoor one and a family of five were cavorting in it while we were in the spa. They were noisy but having a good time, so we were not disrupted. […] We ate the free breakfasts every day of our five day stay. We didn't care much for the cheese omlettes which seemed like they were microwaved. They were not real exciting. We eenjoyed our stay. "Great room for the money"
The room was very cleam and comfortable (love the soft pillows). I was supprised that the Breakfast was not only contental but also included bacon, eggs & biscuts & gravy. Great breakfast! The only downside was the pool was freezing cold & the hot tub was way too hot at 102. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.
