Panaji (Panjim), situated on the southern banks of the Mandovi River, is the capital of Goa. Panaji is one of the busiest towns in Goa. Over the years, it has developed into a vibrant city bustling with commercial and tourism activities. The town has preserved its Portuguese heritage considerably well. It has beautiful, red-roofed houses with stucco walls built in Latin style, many with well-appointed gardens. The capital city is dotted with places worth seeing. The Church Square, or Municipal Garden featuring the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, is the central point of Panaji. Other notable landmarks and tourist interests include the Fontainhas area, the Goa State Museum, the Goa Velha (location for the famous Procession of the Saints at St. Andrew's Church), Idalcao Palace, and Institute Menezes Braganza. Miramar Beach is roughly 3 km from Panaji.

This hotel isnt great and we dont recommend for a holiday. Good points :- 1. Private beach with sports, 2. Sea view from rooms. Bad point :- 1. Hotel rooms very dated and in need of refurb, 2. Hotel is rather isolated which means you're at the mercy of them for taxi. 3. Very expensive for the standard. It didnt feel like a 4*, more like 3*.

Cida de is a good hotel, the main attraction being its location & view. Though it has a slight jaded look it is excellent for those looking for comfort & old world charm. The hotel has one of the best architecture. Service is good. Its an Amazing Beach Front Resort. The Private Beach is just amazing. Hotel has mind boggling design (typical Portugese)..... Food is Ultimate...... You should surely visit Cidade when ur in Goa !!!
"Cidade De Goa- Over Priced, bad service"
I had great expectations from this hotel and services.. The hotel staff is so so Non co operative. I almost felt like i was staying in some cheap - non graded property. Never would want to come back to this hotel. Except for the location- Beach, there is nothing good to write about.

The hotel service is very very poor. Right from check in desk, bell boys, restaurant service etc... no one ready to help. Infact if you try to speak about your problem, the staff shows attitude and deaf ear. The rooms are also not of good caliber. Maintenance is poor. Very frankly for cheaper price you will get much much better rooms and good service […] in Goa. I had been to cidade earlier ( 10 years back ) the quality of everything has dropped considerably. "Building work spoils Cidade De Goa"
Overall, we had a restful holiday and the location was great for local restaurants etc. The food in the hotel was great and very authentic. Room service was sometimes slow - over 1/2 hr sometimes. The beach was really only for local people, not toursists as there were no amenities. Main problem was that we had to move rooms twice, due to scaffolding […] work for repainting. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Smokers beware! The entire hotel is non-smoking and finding a sneaky place to have a drag was really difficult. We had the pool to ourselves most days as we went just at the end of the monsoon season. Restaurant staff service was variable. Great place for a relaxing break but check for building works first! This was a well run hotel with excellent facilities. Staff were very friendly and ensured that our holiday experience was very good. Good choice of restaurants. The hotel had its own beach that was clean and secure. The water sports were a bit expensive would be my only criticism.
