This is a cool, modern hotel. It has a happening rooftop bar, some nice restaurants and very nice, clean, modern rooms. The only downside is that it is a bit cheesy (just a bit, not too much...). But overall, I'd stay here again for sure.

The hotel is very nice! amazing views- we had a partial water view, but the city view was just as nice. Its not the place to stay if you are looking for south beach action but its about a 15 minute cab ride away. There is alot of construction in the immediate area surrounding the hotel, so the area looks a bit suspect. The room was really plush and […] the soaking tub was fantastic. I don't think the price equaled the experience. I mean, it was a very nice hotel, but for what we paid, I expected so much more. The TV was connected to DirecTV I guess and it was terrible reception. We couldn't watch television for the entire trip. I am a "Bed Freak" and all great rooms to me are judged on the bed. This was a total let down. The beds […] looked like they were mattresses on top of platforms and really gave me the feel of a Motel 6 in presentation....no frills. Loved the size of the balcony and took advantage of it whenever waiting for everyone to get ready. Nice bathroom, but the very deep, very small tub was a bit confusing. Definitely not enough room for two in the tub, but dual shower heads. It may just be ME, but if I'm going to add that as a perk, I'd enlarge the tub for more than one guest to enjoy at once. It would definitely be a crowd pleaser!!! LOL All in all, it was a good trip, but for the price, I'd look elsewhere when visiting. Room service was not an option, a BLT was more than two days parking at the surrounding lots! Parking was at a ridiculous rate per night, so we parked 2 blocks away. There are parking garages that offer discounts on the weekend and much, much cheaper than the hotel. As I said, it wasn't bad, especially considering our desire to stay in a nicer, cleaner hotel than the older hotels on South Beach. It was a short drive to the beach and very nice. Baca selengkapnya

Very fancy, classy , and convenient if you are going to take a cruise,...the departure dock is only a few minutes away ...Nice staff, may be a little stuffy, but nothing as bad as we have encountered in other high class hotel. The rooms are comfortable and silent.We would stay there again.

Great location, service and amenities. Relatively short drive/cab to South beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. I have stayed there before and would stay there again.

The Epic Hotel did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the location is a 20/25 dollar cab ride to basically anywhere important on south beach. The staff is well trained and will go the extra mile for your needs. Don't go if your trying to pinch pennies. This is a top hotel and it lives up to it's name.

Like the Hotel - not a lot to do in downtown Miami but if you need to stay downtown this is a great hotel. I did find trash under the desk chair which made me wonder how thorough the cleaning was.

The hotel is beautiful as well as the room. However, because it's right on the busy street, it's a bit noisy due to the traffic. The shower gets clogged up very quickly.

I decided to stay downtown instead of SOBE this work trip and I am happy I did. The pro's of the Kimpton: It is beautiful and clean and very chic. You walk in and you feel like you're entering a gallery or museum. The staff is very helpful. The Valet guys are nice (even though it's pricey at 40 bucks a night), The pool on the 16th floor is really cool […] and has awesome views, and the rooms are spacious and have GREAT bathrooms. There is also a free wine hour in the lobby every evening which is a nice touch. The Cons: The valet price per night, the restaurants are overpriced for what they are, the pillows in the room were pretty terrible and I usually don't notice minor things like that - but I woke up uncomfortable every night. The spa was pretty mediocre.They do not have a steam room like the description says - which was a huge bummer. Also note that you have to pay to use the locker rooms and sauna and overall area. The amenities were very blah as well once I did pay to go down to the spa. It was not very luxurious. The prices for massages is so unreal and crazy it was laughable. Stayed on club level which was totally worth it. First we had a room with no view but Gene took care of us and moved us to a beautiful room and therefore made our vacation memorable. Staff was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend

The hotel is very nice, but it appears to be a hangout spot or club scene. This causes problems because the only parking is valet. I waited for a full 30 minutes in a line going down the street to get valet service on Friday night due to the crowds of people coming in. Very annoying.

The hotel was beautiful expect when I went to take a shower the drain was clogged and the water backed up to my ankles. That's disgusting, to add to that the shower head and glass had green build up on it. For the price I paid I shouldn't have had any problems. I have stayed at the Viceroy hotel next door about 5 times. This time I opted for the Epic. Equally satisfied...but the Viceroy is a notch above the Epic. Pool, Rooms, overall fit and finish...Viceroy.

I had a great experience at the hotel. I wanted to upgrade to a nicer room, but my room was beautiful with a great view so there was no need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. however the food was a bit pricey and not so good- except the breakfast was yummy. I will definitely stay here again. much better than the hotels on south beach

The reason this rating is low is because you don't ask for a rating on the food which unfortunately was not very good. The hotel refunded me my food as I complained on more than one occasion that it was not very appetising and over-priced. Comfort of room was very good. I would stay again if the food improved.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The EPIC in downtown Miami offers incredible service in a luxurious setting. It’s situated amongst the funky high rises of downtown, on the waterfront (and hence with beautiful with sea views), a close walk from Bayside Market Place and only 10 minutes away in a taxi from South […] Beach. The hotel itself is very modern - it’s super clean - and has great offerings including Area 31 restaurant and bar where we went on our first night (modern food, beautifully presented and beautifully tasting), wine hour every evening in the lobby (red or white wine served with an aperitif – you can’t beat it!), the pool (comfortable loungers, plenty of towels, water served to you throughout the day and of course if you fancied it (as we did!) cocktails and bar snacks too from the poolside menu)), a well-equipped gym and opportunity to join in some brilliant gym classes (with a discount of $10 off your first class) and a friendly concierge who gave some great advice about restaurants and things to do in the local area. Above all of these wonderful things offered by the EPIC what made it stand out above all else to us was the fantastic service – the balance struck between friendliness, professionalism and efficiency was the best we have ever experienced. Great location: close to the airport, to South Beach, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. Good vibe, fun pool area. Best world-class japanese restaurant in town. Food at Area 31 is really bad, so is the food from the room service. Valet parking is EXTREMELY slow, so call in advance for your car. Price is good, club level is recommended.

We were a little nervous about staying with our kids in an upscale hotel in Miami -- but we should not have been. All the staff were wonderful and welcoming. Though the hotel had its share of fashionistas and partygoers, there was complete tolerance of us as a family and we had a fabulous time. The pool was excellent, though we were a little disappointed that it closed so early (sunset). Great location within walking distance of the Brickell district and a 10-15min drive to South Beach. The valet parking got really hectic on Friday and Saturday night (call ahead for your car or it will be a really long wait) but the valets were as professional as ever. the Hotel is is very nice and one of the few i found that has a usable balcony. staff is very pleasant. The only down side is room service. They are quick but the food is not good. I am not a picky eater and i have a lot of tolerance and give lots of leeway for room service food. but honestly i have stayed there on 2 separate occasions and had to order […] in room once on each occasion. both times the food was uneatable. Excellent hotel. Great experience at poolside. Much better than South Beach hotels in the same price category. Odd random loud whistle sounds on and off all night coming from somewhere in the hotel is the only negative. Can't get around the $37 a night valet parking charge. No self-parking anywhere near the hotel.

This was a fantastic hotel.you certainly get what you pay for & more. Placed downtown close to the pier, it took about ten minutes by cab. We were wowed the second we walked in.we immediately high fives when we entered...SPECTACULAR is an understatement. The hotel staff were very friendly,and on the ball. Check- in was a charm,as was check-out. They […] had a wine reception.,which was top notch. Our room was beautiful,with a wonderful view of the beautiful pools. We didn't get to enjoy the pool because of the bad weather (rain ). My hubby & friend were totally stoked with the SEVERAL Ferrari 's that frequented and parked there. When we arrived at the hotel the atmosphere was great drinks in the lobby and very friendly staff but we were unable to get into our room! Security had to come and change the lock out so we were an hour and half late to our destination!
