Absolutely brilliant stay, couldn't of asked for a better hotel. Staff where so friendly and helpful and the service couldn't be faulted!! The hotel is spotless including the rooms. Very very impressed, would recommend to everyone! It's about a 5 min walk to the tram and a short ride into the centre!

We had a perfect stay for a bank holiday weekend. I only wish all my hotel stays for work were as good as this. This is my first time to Amsterdam and I am very impressed with the friendliness of the staff who goes the extra mile to make me feel welcome. The staff provides good recommendations on places to eat and shop, and also lends me an umbrella during the rainy season! If you are coming from the airport, you will need to take the train to Amsterdam Centraal, then a local tram. SUGGESTION; PURCHASE THE 24 HOUR TICKET RIGHT AWAY..IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!!! Get off at Surinamesplien stop, cross the street, then walk OVER the canal about 5-10 minutes, then the hotel entrance will be on your left. Unless you are very hungry, the breakfast, although excellent, is not worth the 19.00Euros. There is a wide "all you can eat selection"..but if you want just coffee and danish, better off to get your day started and find a bistro. 1st floor restuarant/bar selections good, service maybe a little slow, but I was not in a hurry, so I didn't care. Skyy Bar bartenders VERY GOOD and very friendly..and it is not too noisy that you can't unwind... It's a bit out of the main part of town, but easily walkable to tram 1 or 17 at the same stop or a bit farther to tram 2. Also, it was close to the airport train stop. nice place to stay some what dated (Dark Wood). Cleaning excellent. Reception excellent until they lied and gave our pre booked cab to a Dutch businessman we could have been late for the airport return home flight. WE know what happened and the cab driver told us so. We would have stayed again but for this reason it's not for us.

Overall, I liked the hotel; it is a good value for the money. It is in the suburbs, but 10 minutes on the frequent tram and you are in the center, so it wasn't such a big deal for me. I also liked the lounge area where they serve coffee, alcohol and food. The coffee was good, as was the beer, and the food was also pretty good. I didn't like the vibe […] of the skybar (disco redux) so didn't go there. I did use the swimming pool, which was nice but crowded on the weekend. On the down side, although the staff is perfectly pleasant, they don't seem to know very much and are not very responsive. This goes for all staff, from the front desk staff to the wait staff to the staff in spa. For example, I asked the front desk staff to book me a trip to Keukenhof, but no one bothered to tell me that the flowers had not bloomed yet due to a cold and long winter. Stayed here for a weekend break. Nice, clean, modern hotel. Prompt service from team when mini bar broke. Good restaurant food for evening meals and breakfast. Free wifi is great! Brand new hotel, spotless clean, great comfortable and stylish room. NIce and quiet pool and gym. Good service in bars. In summary, great value for money if you dont mind conmmuting to the center by tram. Great for business purposes and people who need to travel by car to other parts of Holland, as it´s right off the Amsterrdam ring.

We've just come back from a weekend break. The weather was rubbish - rained all 3 days but we had a nice romantic escape nonetheless thanks to this hotel. We had a late evening flight booked so I had contacted the hotel a day before whether late check in wound be okay. When we arrived past midnight, the check in was fast and front desk staff / security […] were friendly. We didn't have a proper dinner whilst traveling and bought takeaway burgers from the aiport on route - the hotel staff kindly warmed up our food & provided cutlery. Upon entering our room - we found a bottle of champange on ice, chocolates and strawberries waiting for us for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The room itself was big, clean, bathroom shower was great and bath tub big enough for two! There are a few supermarkets and resturants nearby and the hotel offer bycycle hire - although tram is close by to get into the city. We ate a couple of times at resturants in the city which are pricey but okay. We also ate at the hotel resturant which was good food, generous portions and quite reasonably priced. The Sky bar was a great place to hang out on a cold rainy Friday night with a casual / friendly atmosphere, good music and drinks. First trip to Amsterdam and I would not stay anywhere else again! Fantastic place to be on the outskirts of city center. Facilities were immaculate with gorgeous luxury bathrooms and everything you could ask for in a room! Easy to navigate by taking the 1 or 17 tram from Centraal station or off line and a short walk back to the hotel. I walked alone […] at night and early morning in order to get to the tram for early trains and coming in from the bar scene with no feelings that my safety was compromised. For those afraid of being away from the city center the tram ride is peaceful and takes you past beautiful canals and sites. Dont let the 20 min ride to Dam square be the reason you dont book!! Stayed at fashion hotel couple of times now. First night requested to be moved to a room with a bath tub, at first no rooms were available until next day. Reception adv us to pack bags and leave them in original rooms they then moved them to our new room whilst we went on our day out. Would deffinitley recommend stayin here, although not on this trip I have prviously had the bed and breakfast option and the hotel offers a excellent full English buffet. Would prefare if there was a few drinks/snacks machines in the hotel as no shops local but knew this previously so took our own. Very clean and comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Tram is less than a 10 minute walk and only about a 10-15 minute ride into central Amsterdam. We loved being just outside of the city, it was nice and quiet so we slept soundly. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful room! Great service. However, you need to take quite a long walk from hotel to tram and with rainy netherland weather it's inconvenient. The center if sthe city! Basically where all sights are and meeting space for tour groups are, is pretty far -- 20 mins or so by tram depending on the tram schedule and traffic.

The hotel is on the side of a motorway and a long way from picturesk Amsterdam. The staff are rude , sarcastic and feel like they are on a mission to make your stay as terrible as humanly possible. If your expecting luxury and Good service your in for a shock, guests are treated like a cattle and everything is too much trouble. Aside from this the room […] was a pleasant surprise, but don't expect an extra pillow If you suffer from a bad back, you get what you're given here and nothing more. The term fashion hotel is a complete joke, nothing about the hotel is fashion orientated, there are a few mannequins in reception but they are poorly dreased in the least fashionable attire one can imagine. The hotel also offers a pool and gym but it's run by an outside organisation who don't treat hotel guests well , on our visit they were hostile and confrontational and I have never been treated so poorly. Ideal if you want a cheap doss house but you get what you pay for and in this instance it's worth paying more. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, our room was great but it comes with a warning, you must enjoy seeing whoever you are staying with naked, our room had a very oven bathroom with clear glass all around(not very nice when you are staying with your brother,sister or business associate.
