Once a famed hippie hangout, Calangute is still popular for its beautiful beach. Calangute Beach, 15 km north of Panaji, is known as the Queen of Beaches. Visitors parasail, water ski, and windsurf during the day, then head to area restaurants for tasty local and international cuisine. The bars host a wide variety of music. The Kerkar Art Complex and St. Alex Church are also highlights here. Bordered on the north by Baga Creek, Baga Beach features vibrant nightlife, water sports, and beach shacks serving diverse eats to hungry visitors. While the resorts that have sprung up along both beaches make this a fairly high-traffic area, guests can still find pockets of calm in which to relax.

"Very Poor Quality Hotel"
This hotel is of a very very poor standard. Rooms are dirty, unsafe and in need of some repair/upgrade. We arrived and were shown a room which wasn't fit to stay in. This is an excellent Resort. You have a choice of staying in one of the 3 buildings. Large rooms- one TV room and one bedroom with AC. Also a large bathroom with 24hr hotwater. Rooms are clean but basic... Don't have TV, or Room Service... You need to walk down to the restaurant to get anything you need including water to drink.... I have picked out hotels from websites but this was by far the worst experience ever!!!! The hotel has nothing that it claims to offer. the pool that is shown in the picture is out of service. The staff is not at all bothered, could not speak to the manager for the 2 days I stayed there.... there was no TV only in our room and staff claimed that there […] was supposed to be non. No back up for electricity either - worst hey don't even provide the mosquito coil. The website would be better off de-listing this hotel to hold to their reputation. "No To Osborne"
We had booked 3 rooms in theresort. We did not enjoy our stay in osborne at all. I was told that there was room service when i made the booking, but when i went there it was not available. The first night we spent there, we were not given any blankets. My children were literally shiverring. Overall it was a decent hotel when compared to tariff. If you are one of those who like to explore places instead of just staying indoors then you will enjoy...not that u can't stay too long within this property.. We went in off season(june '12) so the mood was quite relaxed in whole of Goa & understandably in Hotel also. I booked bed and breakfast at the Osborne Hotel for a week. On arrival, I was allocated a large double room in basic condition, bed appeared old, fan too high to feel any breeze, dirty bathroom. I immediately complained and the next day was allocated a room next door on the same floor which was literally five star, beautiful clean floor tiles, clean […] bathroom with hot water anytime, a small balcony overlooking the pool. The air-conditioning and fan working perfectly, lovely clean twin beds.
