Most hotel rooms are the same train car these days -- one (sometimes 2) beds, a dresser, a TV, the bathroom on one end next to the door, the window on the other end. But here you get a separate entrance for the bathroom because just inside the door is a small, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The room also has a small sofa. When I saw the hotel, I was surprised by how ugly it was on the outside and how odd to see the swimming pool on the front of the hotel, right by the parking lot! Once inside, the decor was not the most attractive, but the hotel boasted friendly front desk staff, housekeepers, and a decent continental breakfast in the mornings. The hotel was also located right next to a large shopping center with a Martins grocery store, a Starbucks and several restaurants and stores. In addition, the floors were stained, the walls were chipped and marked-up, and the artwork was remioed form the walls. This was the halfway point for us on our trip and was an absolutely pleasant surprise. We travelled with two dogs, both of which the hotel happily accommodated. The rooms were new, clean, and comfortable. The area was nice and had great pizza. Everything was terriffic!
