This is place is a must to stay at. I wish I could have stayed a lot longer but I had to keep to my schedule. The owner and staff are very accommodating and friendly. "Great B&B Near Charles Town Races"
I enjoyed my stay at this B&B near Charles Town Races. It is less than a half mile to the track and just as close as the official casino hotel (which sits on the opposite side of the track from the casino). The B&B was built in the 1860s and has a lot of history. That being said, the furnishings and bedding are a little dated. Overall, I think it wasn't […] quite as nice as I expected, but the price was lower than the local Holiday Inn, so still a good value. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long time, and served anytime between 8:00am - 9:30am. The flexible time is nice, and although it is someone else's home, I still felt there was ample privacy and did not see a lot of other guests. The hosts are wonderful and are cheeful, but let you have your space. Complimentary sodas, water, and cookies were provided. Wine glasses and a bottle opener were available too if you wanted to bring your own bottle. Peaceful, quiet, restful,delicious breakfast, yummy snack on arrival,Don and Marie were wonderful, caring and hospitable. Marie gave a history of the Inn and surrounding area which inspired me to dig deeper into the history.

What can I say, it is beautiful, probably the best place we have ever stayed. You feel like walking into something from Gone with the Wind. Our hosts were very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. We were sad to only stay the one night.
