"This was an adequate hotel"
I would not choose this hotel for longer than a one night stay. That being said, for that purpose it was completely adequate. The only two strong negatives was that the staircase to the mezzanine level was very sketchy - I did not want my kids on it, and the breakfast was highly overpriced (we received a croissant and 1/3 of a baguette each). "Average at best! Moldy smell."
When I say average. I mean average for Europe standards. I would compare it to a motel 6 in the United States! They don't speak very good English also which did not help. Walls were very thin. Thin enough to the point where I could hear people in the room next to us going to the bathroom. Do not let them fool you by the pictures on the website! "Not worth its star rating"
This hotel is not worth 3 stars. Some B&B I've stayed in are much better. Although it is clean, it smells of pungent disinfectant every morning. They say WIFI is free on the website but there are 2 wifis. For the good one you have to pay. The other 1 is free but snail slow & you have to register every 4 hours to use it. The linen are clean but worn […] and so are the towels. The small TV is positioned on the wardrobe (too high) & I could not find a comfortable position to watch it. The 3 star rating is what they gave given themselves. This is a 1 star hotel. After asking other establishments in the area I was informed that this hotel is no longer officially rated. "Convenient hotel for a couple night stay."
The hotel is a converted apartment, minus the kitchen. No A/C so it can get a bit warm in the afternoon during the summer. Location is nice, close to the metro and in a relatively quiet neighborhood. "Won't come back"
Upon entering the elevator and inside the room, noticed note posted that the hotel does not responsible for loss of any personal item. One date when returning to room, notice my room door was left unlock, and I called the front desk to inquire why my room was unsecured. The front desk clerk did not feel that it was a problem, I then asked to speak to […] the manager, clerk replied I am the manager, then asked to speak to the owner, clerk replied I am the owner. The clerk then asked if I would come down to the lobby to speak of my dissatisfaction, after exiting the elevator, I was met with the clerk, her parents, and maybe an uncle lurking at a door, a very scary experience. Hotel clerk did not think it was a problem even when the room was left unlock and the hotel would not responsible for loss, I asked the clerk to ensure the room is secure after cleaning. Hotel did not charge Expeida in US dollar like most of my hotel booking with expedia, hotel charge room with Euro which result higher room cost. Hotel has no heat on a colder fall evening, when inquired, I was informed that the heat does not turn on after October. Hotel does not have air conditioning. We were happy about the hotel. The room was very small and the beds quite hard, but it was clean and all we could ask for at that price. The breakfast was simple but good, typical french with croissant, baguette with butter and jam, coffee and OJ. We prefer eggs and decided to go out for breakfast most days. Si vous voulez quelque chose de précis pour le petit déjeuner, il faut le demander la veille. Personnel agréable et souriant. Tarif avantageux. Bien placé. Hotel sans étoile, le personnel comprend et parle peu le français. Petit déjeuner en sous sol dans une salle sans fenêtre et froide, mais bien servi, on a pu redemander du jus d'orange sans problème, par contre difficile de se faire comprendre en français. Pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain : pas plaisant quand il fait 0° dehors... Il faut faire […] couler l'eau 15' avant d'avoir de l'eau chaude. "Bon emplacement, seul chose correct"
Le seul point positif, c'est l'endroit ou cet hôtel est placé. Métro a 100m à peine. Le reste n'est vraiment pas terrible, personnel pas aimable, parle à peine français. J'ai demander une chambre pour 4 personnes, on me met 3 lits. Obliger de s'énerver fortement pour avoir un 4ème lit qu'on voulait me facturer !!! La TV ne fonctionné pas, obliger de […] la régler soit même avec un menu en italien.... La chambre se situe beaucoup trop près de l'ascenseur. Trop bruyant... Vraiment moyen juste pour une nuit passer. Pour 4 personnes, on se marchait dessus ! Je n'ai pas pris de petit déjeuner, j'avais trop peur de ce qui pourrait m'arriver de plus. Hôtel familial, mignon et calme dans un endroit calme. Chambre propre. Situation très intéressante bien desservi par bus et métro. Entre la Place d'Italie et la Sorbonne. "39 euros par nuit, mais je n'y retournerai pas."
IIl faisait - 10o dehors, pas de chauffage dans la chambre. Alors les deux couvertures m'ont aide à dormir. Mais je l'avait accepté la chambre uniquement pour 39 euros au lieu de 90. Je crois que c'était la réduction de dernier minute. L'odeur de javel dans la chambre, l'intérieur de mauvais goût, malgré la grande chambre.
