"Lovely resort hotel . Our room was enormous, the pool was relaxing and breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all really fresh . It’s a bit out of the city but there are local buses and train on the doorstep and a free shuttle bus too. We came to see Fukuoka and have a rest from Tokyo . The hotel was great for both. Only downside for us was no vegetarian option at Dinner so we ate in Fukuoka . "

"Having visited in the 4th week of April 2025, it was a vibrant spring floral experience at the Island Park Garden. The villa is on a hill and from the balcony it is over-looking the pine trees and the bay. We loved the peaceful and idyllic atmosphere. The Japanese dinner and breakfast was delicious and the friendly and courteous staff-they were able to converse in simple English made our stay memorable. "

"Our stay at shine bright was comfortable and had plenty of room and beds available for a family of 5. There was a unique smell when we went inside the house. Some were bothered by it and some were not. For the price, it was an awesome deal for a big family. Parking was nearby and available (free). There are convenient stores nearby as well, including a MaxValue all within walking distance. Overall our stay was good and close enough to the airport (about 15 min drive)."

"Very convenient location in the heart of Fukuoka. Lots of transport available to tour the main attractions as well as plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options close by. The locker provided is large and while the pod doesn’t have a lot of space, it was a comfortable sleep. "

The room was clean, compact, and comfortable - if you are accustomed to Western-style hotels, be aware that the rooms are quite small by comparison. Everything worked well, including the ability to control the temperature. As the name implies, it is in the western part of the Tenjin neighborhood, close to lots of shopping and eating, and walkable (a little further) to areas such as the popular Canal City...
