I am a frequent visitor to South Padre Island and have previously stayed at the Coco Beach Hotel before it was renovated. I was pleasantly surprised to find the property in much better shape. I was happy with the location of the room we booked. The bed was comfortable and the linens were good. The air conditioner worked well and kept the room cool and quiet. The hotel has a beachside bar and restaurant which is convenient. Beach access is easy and close by. An excellent two-night stay with excellent weather!

However they were no cups in the room, no coffee pot, no coffee at the restaurant in the morning, no blow dryer, you have to pay for ice. Sammy was amazing. She was the best part of our stay. The parking lot staff was nice and helpful. Beachfront access was great. Parking was very tight. The swimming pool is very very very small. The room floor was dirty. The sink smelled really bad like something needed to be removed from it. The room was dated with old furniture and the WiFi was terrible. The bedding was however clean. The shower water was extremely slow. The beach bar on site was amazing. Sammy was amazing. The drinks and food I will say was a solid 10. I will say for the price it was way too high for what we expected. Will we stay again probably not but overall it could have been worse I guess.
