Friendly staff, bathroom quite small, sink too small, was very hard to brush theeth and clean face without making a mess.

10/10 Exceptional

Good hotel with great hospitality and in the neighbourhood of shops and restaurants. Rooms are very clean and price quality is in more than good balance.

8/10 Very good

The Bastion Hotel was excellent for the most part. Bed was a little too soft for me but it was ok. The bathroom is extremely small for a man my size. The internet was not very strong and I had often had trouble getting a strong signal while in my room and in the restaurant. The restaurant service was not very good. They rarely came to my table to check on me but the food was pretty good overall.

I really didn't like the unpleasant attitude of some of the morning staff.
Verified review

2/10 Poor

Double charged by hotel

I made a pre-paid reservation of one night and extended my stay by one night. The hotel charged me for two nights including the one I had paid in advance.
Verified review

2/10 Poor

My instructor didn't stay due to unforeseen last minute problems. We tried to change the booking for five days later and Hotels.com were very helpful but the hotel refused as I hadn't taken out the cancellation option. I had hoped that, as my company often uses the hotel, they would be understanding but they were very short-sighted and were extremely corporative. We were told that we should have booked with them direct and not through Hotels.com. We will be going to Europoort many times in the future but will NEVER use this hotel again. Their loss, not ours!

The manager was not very friendly when checking out. It was a very unpleasant response.

big man

The bedroom was just adequate but pillow were soft acrylic type. But the big disappointment was the bathroom. Not big enough to accommodate a larger frame (1.89cm height) getting in fully. Sink was very small with a tap the was too large and therefore the floor was constantly wet. The shower cabinet di not have anywhere to put soap/shower gel. Very poor.
