Beautiful main building with excellent rooms with their own pool! Staff were great and always willing to help. Food a little disappointing as it is the same menu for lunch and dinner and although it says two restaurants it is really only one. Lovely beach and pool.

This hotel is amazing! It's very beautiful and unique, the whole place is made out of timber and has this incredible smell to it. The breakfast is great, lots of variety and good coffee. this place is a little tired and i think needs a bit of a re-boot. There were great elements and the set up is peaceful and the breakfast was very nice, but the real let down was that the whole place is like the marie-celeste in the evenings. there is no life. no hub. no bar and 2 restaurants but both on the same menu so in fact, only 1! we dont want partys and seek out places that are quieter but this was way too quiet. there was a musical duo which seemed to play most evenings but they were not good, oddly placed in relation to the diners and often playing to 4 or 6 people which makes everybody a little uncomfortable.

Nice hotel for couples with friendly staff. The main building is all in wood with unique style and has nice pools for each room. I think these rooms are best. Staff including Sonya were helpful in fixing small issues. Gym better than before but could have a bit more weights and bench. Both pools nice. Breakfast nice. On nice part of clean beach.

Definitely not a 5* resort

On checking in, the staff were lovely and very helpful, however we had to be moved after our first night after to bathroom flooded due to heavy rain and lack of upkeep of the building roof. The second room was dirty, full of ants and in extremely poor condition. The hotel were unable to help, and could only offer a free massage or meal as compensation. Definitely not a 5* resort as advertised, and we left 3 nights early, resulting in us being out of pocket, however I could not stay here as I was left covered in bites and felt the poor upkeep was a health hazard.

Worth a look

A beautiful, older resort in the low season which could use some refurbishing and additional wait-staff. It's quiet, out of the way and was once gorgeous. Now it needs a coat of varnish. The hot water in the shower works very well, if you can figure out how to manipulate the faucet. The main restaurant needs more servers, so things like silverware aren't forgotten when the food is brought out.The bottom line: it's quiet, and like stepping into a few hundred years ago. I would consider going back, though it's not perfect

Santhiya Tree Resort - Very Impressive Luxury

It's amazing that we managed to book a pool bungalow at high season (February). A beautiful luxurious accomodation with shared pool. The woodwork (which I believe is Teak) in our bungalow was stunningly beautiful, complete with work desk, sofa futon and a living room with an awesome flat screen TV. Also we loved the furnished patio and clean, crystal clear swimming pool. With these bunglaw suites one doesn't even have to bother going to the resort's main guest pool near the beach. We had the pool all to ourselves because our neighbors were gone much of the time. These bungalows are the height of luxury, including having their own Jacuzzi. The gorgeous Jacuzzi was our favorite. And the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The resort has that jungle vibe with so many song birds and natural beauty surrounding it. And the unique and elegant architecture of the main hotel building and cabins and bunglalows is another reason to book accomodations here. And the beach too is just beautiful. Lots of activities in the area, including paddle boards and tour boats. I highly recommend. The Santhiya Tree Resort will not disappoint.

Was our first time to the island and we were very glad we chose Santhiya. Staff was very attentive and the property was beautiful. It was rainy season, so swimming at the beach was not possible, but the pools were very nice. We stayed in a garden bungalow and it was very nice. Would highly recommend.
