If you want a cost-effective, no-frills place to stay at that has breakfast and a communal hot tub to relax in, I don’t think any other place else comes close. The location is charming, as HSR, Blue and Yellow line, as well as a major bus station and new Taipeis city hall are all in walking distance. The staff is generally friendly. Provided breakfast is more than what can be expected for the room. The Single Inn provides a shirt and shorts for the duration of the stay (e.g. for sleeping). On the top floor is a hot bath which is great for relaxing.
