The hotel was amazing, very helpful when asking questions, especially not being able to speak Spanish. The breakfast buffet was incredible, tons of choices everyday, great way to start a busy day touring such a beautiful country. Rooftop views & amenities were spectacular. 8/10 Very good

I was there for one night before my flight home. The hotel is in a great location and removed from but convenient to the very busy shopping areas. The elevators will assign you to a specific elevator based on where you want to go and are generally very quick. The hotel breakfast was included and is extensive (I wish I had more time to enjoy it but had to get to the airport!). I did not love the location of my room which was one of the closest to the elevators (so I did hear kids running and shouting occasionally) and it was for a handicapped guest (I am not handicapped). Otherwise, I would stay here again but would request a quiet room.

love the location center of all Madrid, hotel staff and amenities amazing ! one thing I would recommend better is the rooftop bar , was not a good experience is very difficult to get service in the rooftop, I believe there can be another system in place to attend guests but overall yes I would for sure stay here again .

6/10 Good

I was expecting more of this hotel. The staff was helpful breakfast was good. The location is good (close to main attractions) It was hard to enjoy the rooftop. Always was packed with No Hotel guest. I was expecting more of the bedding( sheets not good quality). In the bathroom, the flush (handle) was not properly working

We arrived very early, 6am and the staff was very accommodating and helpful getting us set up. The location is perfect for tourists and easily connected. The room and the breakfast buffet was great as well and helped al lot to be well rested and ready to have fun in Madrid. The rooftop bar is also worth noting, with great views drinks and appetizers to wind down after a long day. Overall Riu Plaza España offers great value and I highly recommend it.

6/10 Good

My recent stay was fair. The front desk checked me into the a very small room with bad views. I requested a room with a view. The breakfast was exceelent. The room was cleaned very well. The iron and the safe did not work properly.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful hotel, massive, great views and bar. Pool was very small for such a large hotel. Rooms were fine, though on the small side. Did not like the transparent bathroom door- if your partner gets up to go in the middle of the night, it lights up room. Location is very good. Breakfast very nice though same every day.

8/10 Very good

A well situated property for travelers to Madrid, close to the Palace and easy walks to downtown shopping and restaurants. Breakfast buffet never disappoints with a great selection of food from fresh fruit and pastries to eggs and bacon. The elevator system, which requires you to scan your room card and be assigned to an elevator, can be problematic in peak times as it often assigns too many people to an elevator and you are waiting to sign up again to get to your room. Rooms are fairly spacious, the TV turns om everytime you put your keycard in, which is a bit annoying. Our room, unfortunately, had a bright motion sensored light in tje bathroom which woke up other room occupants whenever the washroom was utilized at night. Generally a great stay for groups.
