Easy and friendly reception, good undercover parking. There are stairs and a lift to the first floor. Convenient location for looking around Bendigo. The room was clean and bed very comfy. The carpet was clean but looked very old. Also the spa bath was very enjoyed but did look like it had seen better days

After a long flight landing in the morning the staff was very good to check me into my room. No fuss very great full, needed the rest.
I wanted to check out late at 7 pm. They requested a full price of 1 night. This was a bit steep. Was quite happy to pay 50 to 60 AUD , but no worries.

The hotel and grounds were fantastic. Free entry into mansion and beautiful gardens. We accessed the spa facilities and had complimentary drinks on arrival. The hotel was good value for money.
Liked the added extras such as the extensive pillow menu. Ate in the bar area which was a bit characterless as it was empty and i thought the food was average. The restaurant was beautiful but none of the meals appealed to us and we thought it appeared quite expensive. However the views were amazing from...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Victoria
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Victoria is during May, June, and August, when hotel prices are typically lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 2 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city’s key landmarks and cultural attractions. During this time, visitors can explore a range of sites related to history, culture, and natural beauty, making it a great value for money experience. It's worth noting that prices could drop during these months, providing additional savings for budget-conscious travellers.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover hotel deals in Victoria, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications. Furthermore, Smart Shopping is a helpful feature in the app that allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best options available. With these tools, you can be among the first to know about price drops or new room availability for your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at Victoria Hotel. For those interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears higher, we may suggest alternative, more affordable dates that could help you secure a more attractive option.
Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities in Victoria certainly offers a level of convenience, but it often comes at a premium. The cost of accommodation in these bustling centres tends to be higher, as they are close to numerous local attractions and amenities. Conversely, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to offer affordable options, though it's important to note that prices can vary. For travellers seeking better rates, it can be worthwhile to consider hotels on the outskirts of the city centre, keeping in mind that this might involve additional commuting to reach key attractions. Alternatively, exploring nearby cities might reveal a wealth of attractions alongside more budget-friendly choices.
