I arrived at the hotel around 3:30 PM, aware that check-in time is at 4:00 PM. When I first approached the front desk, I was informed that my room was not ready yet, which I completely understood.
However, when I returned at 4:00 PM, I was told that a few more checks were still being done on my room. While I appreciated the complimentary item offered from the bar, over 20 minutes passed without any communication, and I had to approach the front desk again to inquire about the room status. It felt like if I hadn't taken the initiative to ask, I might not have been informed promptly when the room was finally ready.
Upon entering my room, I was disappointed to find that it was not up to the cleanliness standards IHG promises. Several areas appeared to have been missed during the cleaning process, which is quite disappointing given the brand's emphasis on its "clean promise.
