Huerto del Rey Moro vegetable gardens is the largest non-urbanised public space in Seville's old centre, which originally was the Moorish king's vegetable garden, hence the name. In 2004, the land was reclassified for communal use, thanks to a neighbourhood group who fought to return the space to its original purpose as a green area.

Its 5,000 square metres are a free attraction to all those who love nature and a place where the land can be used to grow all manner of horticultural products, such as figs, blackberries, loquats, lemons and oranges. This is an ideal spot for a walk with your children as you explain to them how an urban vegetable garden works.
