Walk to the main attractions
Hotel has valet parking only ($48/day) and it does not have self park. However, there is a parking garage right next to the hotel, where I think the hotel makes use of for its valet parking. You can park on levels 6-8 and walk across the street to the hotel for $30/day. Driving can be challenging on the one-way streets, so we left our car parked and walked to the World War II museum (18 minutes). Later on, we walked the opposite direction from the hotel to Jackson Square (16 minutes) and saw the cathedral, Cafe du Monde, 1850s house, Cabildo, Preservation Hall, Bourbon Street, and Canal Street. Bring an umbrella just in case! The hotel has been remodeled well and the rooms are nice. The large breakfast area is on the 4th floor and is beautifully furnished. Really nice hot breakfast. The elevators are secured/accessed by room key card. We had an issue with the hvac system, but staff was attentive and fixed it promptly on a Sunday night. Easy access to/from the interstate. Lots of restaurants within walking distance too. Would definitely stay again!
