Rainbow Mountain Resort

Shouldn’t have a resort in the name during the wintertime. None of the amenities we’re operating when we went. The hot tub was drained, the 2 inflatables were also drained, the nightclub wasn’t open, the bar was expensive, and the staff are either abused or not compensated properly (which shows). The cherry house units are tiny and dated! The carpets need replaced and the door to our unit had a crack that would make a plumber proud. We promptly turned our keys in knowing we’d not get refunded. To the credit of the staff, they did upgrade our room to the king suites down the hill. Things were interesting there too. The bathrooms were renovated, poorly. The shower pan lip had an appreciable angle to it, a faceplate was half screwed in, and the shower curtain wasn’t changed in several guest stays judging by the pink tint and mildew growing. The floors were poorly swept and were separating due to a prior leak. To help stop the splitting, a thin piece of trim was stapled to floor. The wall by the bed had handprints from previous occupant’s activities. The doors were also poorly secured. Past the physical property’s appearance, the management is clearly not compensated enough to care. You can see they know the place is run down and not cared for by the owner. Our bar tender that night has been working there for several weeks, but was unable to point the guest to the sauna. The king suites parking lot was an ice rink we had to shovel ourselves to get out of. Skip for winter.

No TV

This hotel does cater to the lgbtq community. I looked all over hotels.com and found no evidence. The front desk was great but as a general rule I don't put my support in that direction. I was running behind so I called at 7 to let them know it would be a late check in and I stated I would be there at 10:30. At 9:45 I got a call asking what time I would be there and stating they might have to charge me a cancellation fee even though I called in advance. Front desk was super nice but when I got to my room it was less than expected. Small room, tv only had one channel. Also expected a little more from bathroom. Pictures make it look super modern and contemporary but that wasnt the case. Think log cabin lodge that needs a bit more attention. Overall for the rate, it was fine to rest my head for a night but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.

This is the worst Resort that I have ever seen. I checked in and was sent up some old squeaky stairs to a room that was old and musty. Nothing in it. Just a bed with a bottle of water and two glasses on a tray. No phone, Iron and board, Microwave. TV was not working and A/C was loud. My wife cried when she saw the room. I asked for a refund because I couldn't stay there and was refused. I was offered another room which was just as bad. I left immediately to find somewhere else to stay for the three nights that I had booked for. The manager refused to give me a refund although I did not stay there. Please stay away from this Resort if you can call it that. There is nothing there. My dog at home has better accommodations than what they are offering. This place should be taken off the advertising list.

Politics has NOTHING to do with a job WELL DONE!

I’ve stayed in many hotels in the US and elsewhere. This is the ONLY place I’ve ever stayed where the hotel staff had ZERO knowledge about points of interest in the area, expected me to go to a nearby supermarket for brochures/info, etc. Minimum wage jobs are generally not very interesting, but NO, desk clerk bumps on a log, you won’t live forever with a hand-out always waiting for you. Example: I asked a desk clerk for info about the Delaware Water Gap, a major point of interest in that area. See attached photos for results. Photo1: Info provided by desk clerk using a Mac THANKS, It’s still in the US and I won’t have to drive to Japan to get there! Photo 2: My info found on my phone, including an EXACT ADDRESS! Both stuffed into my backpack when I didn’t need need them anymore. Management: as a gay man who successfully owned and operated my own business for over 30 years, I feel insulted by your attempt to attract me with your “appeal” to people like me to stay at your place just because you politically advertise to the likes of me with NO professionalism to back up your advertising. It all just adds up to another form of money-grubbing abuse! I could stay at a Motel 6 and no one would care whether I was sleeping alone or who I wished to share a bed with. This place wants your LGTBQ money but is just a haven for the lame who want a job but aren’t willing to work for it! MANAGEMENT: Do YOUR job by teaching your employees how to do theirs!

The staff is very nice and accommodating, the pool is large and cozy with a bar at the pool area, the food at the restaurant is very fresh and tasty.

Over charge us 400$ for cleaning fee. We try contacting the manager but they ignore our calls and our requests. We didn’t have water for a whole day as well.
