Well...my terrible rating is just my opinion! Upon check in (and there were 3 people there at the Front Desk) NO ONE explained to me or my Son that we would have to call in for our room to be cleaned each day. There is NO NOTE inside the room either...so, since I've traveled to more than 30 Countries and have stayed in 100's of Hotels...I am NOT accustomed to not being told the rules. Imagine playing Scrabble with someone and not going over the rules.
On our first morning, we left at 8am and returned at 11pm only to find our room exactly as we left it. Beds undone, towels on the floor...the room had not been cleaned. I called to the Reception only to find that our in-house telephone does not even work...so I had to call on my Cell Phone. The Lady on the phone explained that I would have needed to request the service and so since I had NO CLUE because NO ONE explained this to us...she said that the following day, absolutely the room would be cleaned and I had to do nothing for this to happen. So we slept in unmade beds...ok.
The following day, same thing, we left at 9am and returned at 11pm only to see that the room was not cleaned (2nd day) I went downstairs to the Front Desk, waited 15 minutes for the Assistant Mgr to arrive and he himself made the 2 beds and brought us fresh towels...at 11:30pm!!!
Listen, the room was nice. The Hotel is clean, the location is nice. Walkable area...but the clueless people that work there...ZERO POINTS!!!
