We flew in from another city in Australia and had a 15 hour layover before flying home to LAX, so we chose this hotel because it advertised a hotel shuttle. When we arrived, we called the front desk to inquire about the shuttle schedule but couldn’t get through to anyone and were transferred to an agent in central reservations who knew nothing about the shuttle schedule and could barely speak English. We ended up taking a taxi to the hotel and saw as we arrived, the shuttle pulled up with only two guests on it. We were told that we would have had to reserve the shuttle 24 hours in advance, which didn’t make sense because it was practically empty! It was too late to reserve it for the next morning, so we were forced to take a taxi back to the airport.
When we got off the elevator, we noticed that the hallways are in need of serious renovation. The carpets are worn, paint is peeling from the walls and the guest room doors are scratched. It was a pleasant surprise to see that our room had been updated with a modern decor, new furniture and carpets, which was a total contrast to what we saw in the hallway. Bed was comfortable and the room had ample space for all of our luggage to be laid out and repacked.
