Average stay this time.
I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and since then it seems to have deteriorated. We had to book last minute as our flight was cancelled. Check in wasn't allowed until 5pm whereas other hotels are at 3pm. One member of staff on the reception was quite condescending not only towards us but also towards her colleagues. We were given a receipt for the deposit and when I asked for a receipt at check out for the payment for the room I was told because we had booked with Expedia we couldn't have one. I explained this was thr first time I had ever been told this and regularly book with Expedia and hotels have always given me a receipt. In fact my previous stay at this hotel had been booked with Expedia and I had had a receipt from them. I kept being told it wasn't possible to which I disagreed but they were adament I had to take this up with Expedia. The room was a good size but not as clean as I would expect, the floor clearly had not been vacuumed/cleaned as when i walked around it felt gritty and my feet became dirty. The bathroom was clean but the extractor fan did not work. Same as last time! The entrance to the hotel is also not very pleasant. I appreciate it is a busy area but having to walk through people smoking right outside the entrance was very nasty and cigarette ends thrown outside was horrid. Yuck.
