DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas - Farmers Branch

There is a much longer version, but upon arriving, we were greated with silt in the sink. Figured it was merely an oversight, but took a photo, asked the housekeeping and management both to check it out, left and returned about an hour later. Came back to a clean sink and thought nothing more of it. Went out to spend time with my friend and returned to hang out when we found a yellow liquid in the sink backed up. We still had not used the sink at all and so we went back out and asked the front desk to check it out. Upon returning, sink was clear, so I stayed in for the night. Before turning in for bed, I noticed a milky white fluid backed up (still had not used the sink). Decided to use the shower for brushing teeth and washing hands and went to bed. The next morning decided would stay somewhere else one more night in the area, so asked the front desk if they would fix the sink and honor rate for second night and consider offering some compensation for the sink issues. All agreed and went in with the day. Second day same issues and was told could not have maintenance until 6 am ... decided was just going to have a bad stay and resolve later. Over a dozen back and forth with the hotel and Hilton guest relations later ... a $79.00 credit was offered for the second night but 10 days later still no credit or resolution. Do not stay here! Tried to leave pictures but app kept dropping the review upon browsing for photos.

Nice comfortable hotel. The room was spacious! Our toddler slept on the couch and we were able to set up a pack n play for the baby. The area was sparse with restaurants and things to do, but there were things a few minutes drive from the hotel. The lobby was packed full of comfortable couches and chairs. The staff was very friendly. Overall a good place

This is a great spot. It’s not too far from Irving attractions and restaurants. The staff was friendly and although they were doing construction throughout the building they still made you feel comfortable.

Thankfully our stay was ok, bed was comfortable & room was clean. But other family members had traveled with us & booked their room online just like us, & for some reason they did not have their room ready. Check in time was at 3pm & 3 of their rooms were not ready until 7pm. While they waited in the lobby area, there was a lot of ot er guest also waiting foe their room to be ready. I'm not sure what was the issue that was happening on that weekend, but I know it was a headache for a lot of the guests to deal with that weekend when I'm sure everyone was just ready to get some privacy & gett settled in their own room. I know thankfully we were some of the few lucky ones that were comfortable in our room. For which I was glad, because we had a 1 yr old with us who would've made the waiting time really unfortunate & frustrating for us.

Everything was nice. they still doing renovation. I was in a renovated room. Very nice. The renovation was not disruptive for my stay. Played golf about 5 min down the road at Luna Vista Golf course.
