The door to the room was difficult to open. Upon going to bed, one of our children was disgusted to find the bed was soiled and stunk of urine!!
There was rubbish left in the room.
There were cobwebs and large amounts of dust throughout.
The toilet was leaking and did not flush adequately. There was no toilet roll holder. The towel rail was worn, unsanitary timber. The shower was in need of proper cleaning due to excessive mould.
Furthermore, at around midnight, some noise was coming from another room. It was argumentative and it sounded as though items were being thrown around. There was no one available in reception to assist. I had already contacted hotels.com via chat, to complain of the initial poor condition of the establishment. The agent was unable to contact the manager or any establishment representative. I was assured the matter would be managed appropriately.
The noise did settle, only to return unrelenting, later during the very early hours of the morning.
The establishment did not take a security deposit as normal. They scanned my credit card. I objected to this method as a breach of the card security. It was not a secure acceptable method.
