Vicky and Co. take a bow!
A luxurious super hotel. A soothing island of calm with an indoor jungle, waterfalls and pools of carp. Arriving four hours before check-in we were given a room within 45 minutes. It had unobstructed panoramic views of Dubai Creek and the Dubai Metro running distantly parallel to our window. A hall of eight elevators ensured fast access to and from our floor, except on one occasion when the doors closed so quickly behind me that my wife was left in fear of being trapped inside forever. (Trouble in paradise!) We had breakfast in 'Andiamo!' on Day 1 and then in 'The Market Cafe' on Day 2. Here the experience was even better. There was more selection and the table service we received from Vicky, Sridhart, Pretab, Hazem, Rabi, Mahmoud and Kajul was out of this world, partly because we had told them we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. The only disappointment was the seemingly permanent closure of 'Manhattan Grill'. There was no alternative but to leave the hotel in search of a memorable evening meal. Upon our return we relaxed to some live music at 'Cooz'. Unfortunately it had its window blinds up. The bright lights of the lobby shone through, robbing the place of its usual intimate ambience.
