Callas am Dom stay.
The trip was great. Cologne is a lovely city with a lot to see, great food and friendly people. The hotel was excellent. It was warm, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was great, plenty to choice.

The Callas Hotel is a small tourist class hotel in the center of Cologne. The location is good , right on the main shopping street and near the great cathedral. The location is the best part of this accommodation. That said, I can go over the pros and cons as I experienced them. The staff is friendly and check I was quick . The hotel has an elevator to get you up to the rooms. This 4 story hotel is well equipped for a short stay. The rooms have comfortable beds and are clean. The linens are fresh and bathroom was immaculate. The hair dryer was a plus. The room had large windows facing out to the street and with a stretch you could see the cathedral towers. Breakfast was simple and I loved the sliced salmon. What a treat! The cons There is no lobby and the rooms are quite small. This is the first time I stayed in a place where I could hear everything the neighbors said and every door opening and closing. I thought someone was at my door constantly because I could hear all noises in the corridor. The small bathroom had only a diskette of soap and a squeeze bottle of liquid hair/ body cleanser mounted on the wall and a roll of tissue. Curtains were very poor although blocking out light did not help with the street noises. I never got the tv to work and WiFi only allowed for my laptop to sign in but not a second device. The serve yourself breakfast was a bit too simple and the staff was absent. It is always nice to have a chat with the server and feel you are welcome

Great location but, very rude manager or owner, walls paper thin and the hotel requires urgent renovation. Single rooms are very small. No in roon safe or mini bar.

My room had a nice view of the upper half of the Dom Cathedral. The room did not have a coffee maker but was very clean.

Hotel is a very short distance from the train station. Breakfast was ample. Beds good. Busy neighborhood, but noise level was ok.
