Smart Place Paris Gare du Nord by Hiphophostels

Overall experience : not bad if you don't stay longer in the hotel. The location is amazing & quiet but the hotel is not as smart as its name suggest it to be. First day, once I got my shared room after 3 pm, I came to discover that the washroom window is not covered by a curtain and no curtain is installed around the bathtub. So front neighbours are able to watch you taking your shower naked and all water can goes to the bathroom floor and make you feel that you're in kind of swimming pool. I run to the front desk to advise them about the situation and find a solution : the former front desk agent just gave me some shit answering that he can't do anything to fix this issue BUT the new front desk agent who was in training helped me find with a fix, he provided me with a big towel and a bed sheet to use them to cover the bathroom window and take my shower peacefully. I appreciated it ! After this incident, the former front desk agent started harassing me that they need to check my reservation again cause they didn't get the payment from the website where I booked my room. I had to be firm with him and strongly suggest him to contact the booking website as my stay fares payment has been already taken from my bank account and I don't see what I can do else to fix this .. The housekeeper lady should learn how to talk to customers too (customer service please !) After the first day, everything went OK the following days ... Most of the front desk agents are nice & helpful.

I stayed with my niece as we were in Paris partly to go to Disneyland, the staff were fantastic and so friendly. For those possibly going to Disneyland by bus the stop is just around the corner from the Hostel. There are a couple of small shops very close by and the kitchen area is equipped with most things you'll need. I'd definitely stay again if i return to Paris

This was second time booking with this hotel. The first time i had a private room. And things were okay i guess bit, the second time i was in a shared room with 8 people the bathroom was disgusting and the room was dinghy

Very small rooms. Small lift, my parents could not fit in the lift, shower extra small even child will not fit

Rooms very extra small!!! Shower very extra small!! Bed sheet not very clean. Lift to go to rooms only 1 person fit . Not worse the price. more like Backpackers kind of place. the ONLY good things. is Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Shame they have to deal with this kind of dirty place. Not easy for them. Big thanks to Front desk reception to help me. I won't stay there again.
