Hotel Rosso 23

Hotel it's in a great location, close to Train station. The room was extremely small, with a small bed, but very clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff was great, always helpful, giving advise to where to go, and what to visit. It looks like this are 3 or 2 buildings, that were put together, and have multiple hallways to get to the room. Beware that the access it's not from the street number showing on the hotels .com reservation, but thru the sister hotel, Garibaldi Blu.

Good location and clean with A/C, but had to wait hours for check in and the room was very small. Elevators were useless due do the wait times, and the decor was bizarre — modern with misplaced antiques and random superhero statues scattered about. The staff was hit and miss: most of the front desk people lack customer service skills while the server during free breakfast was normal. Very good food for breakfast!

In general, this is a nice hotel with easy access to the heart of Florence and the train station. The quality of the hotel and amenities was good. The room was a bit small, but reasonable. The one night we stayed there, though, there was a musty ammonia like odor in our room and in a couple other parts of the hotel that we traversed. It wasn't overpowering, but it was noticeable. Given that our stay was short and that the odor was tempered, we didn't bother reporting it.

The Hotel Rosso 23 is perfect situated in the Santa Maria Novella Plaza, close to the Railway Station and with easy walking distance of all the sights of Florence. You easily walk to Ponte Veccia and the Duomo. All the restaurants and bars are close by. The room we had was especially quiet and well appointed.

I really enjoyed this hotel! The rooms were very spacious and clean! Awesome location! It was a little noisy facing the square at night but were able to sleep no problems! The staff was great and accommodating! We will definitely stay here again!
