Very good location for our purposes. Plenty of restaurants abs things to do. Unfortunately the hotel could use some help. The front desk attendant needs some backup. That poor woman was working her butt off from 6 am til 11 pm. She was running the desk, breakfast, and everything else on her own. The pool is too small for the size of hotel. It got crowded easily. There were never any towels to use. The pool area was very dirty and needs attending to. Our room was nice and spacious and comfortable. Quiet at night and we slept well.
The hotel itself was nice and comfortable. The lobby was a cozy hangout spot for the large group we had. The biggest complaint we all had was NOT ENOUGH STAFF! The poor lady at the front desk was trying to check people in, wash towels, answer the phones, all of it. For that reason we had to wait at least 10 mins every time we went to the front desk for something. They also rarely answer the phone when you call, which can’t be good for business. Overall the hotel was clean, and comfortable but do not expect much in the way of service.
They tell me that there wasn't house keeping until I say there for 5 days. So I kept on having dirty towels in my Room had to ask for clean towels. Which if your saying the hotel you should have to ask for some. The lady that worked past midnight, was rude, not warm welcoming. Had an Attitude when i asked for a towel. Hair body language gave a bad vibe like she didn't like your job why she didn't want be there she didn't want to help nobody
There was no "welcoming" upon entering the hotel. It was all matter-of-fact, what's your name and here's your room keys. Then upon opening the room door was a pleasant feeling. The room looked nice, was cool and the beds were appealing. However, the bathroom took all of the enthusiasm out of my sails. It was very mediocre. There was one set of towels (weird) and the towel bar was in the shower and it was not satisfactory. It was overtaken by water stains or soap scum. Not appealing. The toilet seat was so worn it looked dirty all the time and there was one bar of soap - we used for our hands and the shower - and one not quite full roll of tissue. We planned on just relaxing by the pool most of our trip but it was so muggy and the water was so cloudy (in an indoor pool nonetheless) that we didn't even think twice about skipping that portion of our trip. I was just super let down by the entire experience.
Needs to update room furniture. Tv didnt work well.
The lady at front desk was not very welcoming and she wasn’t wearing a mask. I didn’t get her name but she was a large black woman. The housekeeper I met in the hallway as I was leaving should have been working at the front desk she was very nice! Overall one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in!
The room I reserved was not available. They gave us two rooms instead. This turned out good since my daughter is an older teen and able to stay without an adult. The pool room is small. And had only 2 chairs in it. It started ok when it was just our family. But within minutes two other familys shiwed. Parents were sitting on floor and pool was very crowded. Our room had no trashcan. And due to coronavirus we could not have any service without going down and asking if additional towels or anything was available. No food options on site either. But is within a mile of alot of options.
From Check in on, everything was bad. Holiday Inn was supposed to be good, will avoid for now. The reserved family room not available though they didn’t tell us until check in. Took 25 minutes to check in. Was put in adjoining rooms instead after explaining could not split up four kids. One room wasn’t even cleaned from the previous visitor. Both smelled like cigarettes. Spent money on Fabreeze just to complete stay and not feel sick. TV in one room didn’t have wiring hooked up, had to ask for cabling. Bed spread had either chocolate or something else on it. Bathroom mirror had a 12 inch crack. Toilet seat was about to fall off. Refrigerators were ice blocks and not cold anymore. Two rooms for six came with four towels. No hand soap or shampoo, had to ask for it - even in COVID times. Pool was small and the staff had there own kids in there taking over the space. Staff was rarely at the desk when you needed them. Had to wait for someone every time to show up. Didn’t even know who the “staff” was cleaning the rooms. Sure was not cleaned they it should be. Definitely broke the IHH Clean Promise. Motel 6 would have been a better stay. Long travel day with four kids and one day stay.
The check in experience was really bad. One computer wasn’t working and the general manager was rude and complained about corporate not being responsive. The lobby and hallways were dirty. No breakfast was offered, not even in bags. We were told No breakfast, no explanation. Rude management, we won’t go back.
The cleanliness was good! Staff was friendly! Much parking available!
