ONS Motel & Guest House

The rooms are clean and a decent size, although with glass walled bathrooms you'd better be pretty familiar with the people you're sharing with. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel in general has a nice atmosphere, and is situated well for exploring Mahebourg. The rooms could do with a bit of updating; for instance the mattress was uncomfortably lumpy and in dire need of replacement, and one of the bedside lamps flickered like it was auditioning for a horror film.

Greeted at the airport by a family member, my stay was perfect from the start. The family who own and run this establishment are delightful. I was only staying one night In Transit to Reunion, but I was given advice on where to eat etc. The guest house was SPOTLESS, and breakfast with fresh pineapple etc was a good start to the day. Mahebourg itself is a lively town just a few minutes from Blue Bay. If you want to see TRUE Mauritian life rather than gated holiday complexes then this is the place for you. The colour and vitality will leave a lasting impression on you.

This hotel is well located and easy to find. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and with a very good shower. Run by a very helpful family. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Mahebourg.

Our stay here could not have been any better. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location was absolutely perfect! Close to the airport, and in the centre of the town. A short walk to everything you might need. The staff were amazing, and Ibrahim went out of his way to make our stay memorable. From organising airport transfers, to restaurant recommendations, and organising a private car and driver to take us to the most beautiful spots on the island. We got a really great package deal, and also great rates with the activities we did. Honestly could not have asked for more, or been any happier. Thank you so much!

Simple hotel good location and clean

Exceptional value. Very helpful staff. Organised trips for us with no problems and good value. Gym downstairs free and useful.

Pleasant

The Motel website seems to imply it is a ground level motel, probably on the outskirts of Mahebuorg City. In fact, the "motel" is on the fourth floor in the middle of the rundown area of central Mahebourg, adjacent to the mosque. The rooms are quite comfortable and the service is excellent. The several times a day call to prayer at the Mosque, particularly the very early morning call, is a bit disturbing.
