Location, views, private beach... Good food and service at the restaurant.... Everything was 5 stars...

The grounds and the views of the hotel are terrific. The rooms, or rather apartments are spacious and well equipped, balconies big, a view from there incredible. If you want to cook you have all the possibilities - just be aware that the closest supermarket is in Samana, some 20 minutes away by car. The rooms are reasonably clean and more or less in working order - the bathrooms need some improvement. Air conditioning could be a bit noisy (we had two rooms - in one it was a problem. The restaurant is ok but the service could be slow as I guess they don't have enough kitchen staff. Could be important if you are in a hurry in the morning. It looks like the hotel needs investment to maintain its excellent premises. But now its condition is good still and for the current price this is a very good deal. I am planning to go there again and think that this is the best option in Samana.

Amazing view, wonderful spot, but the apartment needs a general improvement. The air condition of the bedroom was out of order, the living room hadn’t curtains, etc.

Private beach. Everything was beautiful, i’ve been in Xeliter Marbella, each one has its uniqueness.

I liked the view and location; however, the room 1st room AC did not work and room was dirty. We were moved to another room that had water leaking from walls. They moved us to another room and the stove, washer and dryer did not work. We went to another room and the smell of mold was awful that I requested to move to another room and there the WiFi did not work until the 4th day.

This is a beautiful property with amazing views over Samana bay and private beach. Very helpful staff.

This resort is well-maintained. Units are large and have a wonderful view over the bay. So does the open-air restaurant. A whale-watching tour was fun, though we didn't happen to see many whales that day. Using binocs, we could see whales spouting and occasionally breaching from our unit's balcony. The resort has two small but pretty beaches. Unfortunately, it's a steep walk down to them and an equally steep ten-minute walk back up. The staff were all very friendly. Not too many spoke English, but we made do. My wife liked the restaurant food better than I did, but the chef clearly tried his best. Portions were generous and nicely presented. There were no other restaurants within walking distance. In fact, none within a 15 or 20 minute drive! So, unless you cook for yourself (no nearby grocery stores either), the resort restaurant is where you eat. We did not rent a car and are glad we didn't because local drivers are crazy, and motorbikes and pedestrians are everywhere. Taxis are expensive but necessary. This resort is a 2-1/2 hour, $75 to $90 taxi ride (one-way) from Santo Domingo Intl. Airport. Although we're unlikely to stay here again (because we like to find new places), we had a good low-key week's vacation. The manager, Maria, spoke excellent English and was always helpful and pleasant. Wi-Fi worked well in the room and restaurant. The cable TV had maybe 150 channels, but only six or seven were in English, which was no surprise.

The room was large and the beds comfortable. Furnishings were minimal. The kitchen lacked a microwave. The washing machine didn't work. There was one light in a bedroom that would not turn off. Room was not serviced as maid said they were very busy. View from unit was great. Restaurant on property was poor. Steaks extremely over cooked, but due to location not any other choice. Disappointed for the price.

Great place to relax, the best view! Our apartment or room was excelent, two bedrooms and a kitchen, clean and very comfy, the staff at front desk also cery nice, this is a great place to relax and enjoy a few days off, and from this location you can go to Las Galeras and many other attractions nearby
