Ramada by Wyndham Jumeirah

Rated as 5 star standard, but perhaps a bit faded from its opening. Rooms well equipped but in need of repair and refurbishment. Heavy rate discounting means that it attracted a different type of clientele similar to budget European beach resorts. 15mins in a cab from the airport but not near a metro or other tourist facilities. Minimal enforcement of mask wearing at the rooftop pool area... Several guests walking around without masks. Nobody showered before or after going into the pool. Loud music at the pool from early morning and never really turned down despite requests and people trying to work /make calls. Friendly and attentive breakfast staff and a good range of hot and cold buffet options including Western, Emirati and Indian items.

Overall a very pleasant stay, the hotel is very centrally located and lots of choices for food and shopping... The staff is very helpful, Umair and Ahmed made the checkin process very welcoming.

The kitchen is excellent. The service staff is excellent. Housekeeping and Kitchen great. However there were items listed in the menu that were never available and there was no breakfast buffet like before. Other restaurants have opened their buffets, but not here. Disappointed in a limited menu, but the quality and value of the food was very good. Security staff needlessly assertive with their COVID temperature checks. This needs addressed. On arrival i had one come directly up to my car window and try to stick his device on my noggin. Unacceptable. This trend continued with aggressive attitudes from security.throughout my stay. Reception desk staff was absolutely outstanding. Thank you.

The room was neat, spacious and clean. The service was good. The location of the hotel is excellent.

It was excellent stay.. over all perfect, Breakfast menu options was very small, I think it’s because of COVID 19 pandemic.

The hotel has been closed for several months and yet I was not only able to book 2 reservations but no one informed me that I really do not have a room. When I arrived from the airport, the hotel lights were off and there was some activity inside but the attendant said no reservation, although I had a confirmation number. It appeared that the hotel was being used to house Covid-19 patients. It was not closed closed😉. I called hotels.com to tell them this hotel is closed. And, please do not make it possible to obtain a booking.

The hotel has a family friendly approach and it was comfortable. Short walk to the left and you find a lot of shops. Restaurants were great and staff were very attentive. We enjoyed Magnum bar with food and Matthew was great . He puts his soul into it and made it special for us . Too often in Dubai..bars become rowdy places but here , the hotel has a good approach and Matthew delivers it for them . I was able to enjoy a great evening with my wife . Will stay here again happily.

The property is in excellent condition. We got an upgrade and enjoyed the comfortable king bed in clean and well appointed large room with living area sofa and chair. Loves the quality of the buffet. Good staff service. Highly recommended.
