Good location, very friendly and helpful owners.
Good location, a bit hard to find but we got there eventually. Breakfast was small but good. Our first hotel in Italy as we arrived in Venice for our 3 weeks. The room was a bit small but it was ok. The bed was quite firm and found this a common things in Italy that was hard for us to adjust to. Great owners and very friendly and helpful.

Well above the expectations
Hotel is strategically located between the major travel hub and the city center. The surrounding is really great and it is less crowded. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly. Breakfast was above our expectation. Good and quiet air conditioner.

Centrally located. Family owned, they were the sweetest. They left breakfast for us for next morning as we were leaving early. We met them only once during check in as we were out the whole day and came back late in the night. Basic simple clean hotel if you need a clean place to stay. Quiet area, close to railway station and water bus stations.

Just had an amazing few day in Venice - Thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely hotel,extremely clean, couldn't fault it ! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from bus station and water taxi's.

Check in was quick and the room was specious and clean. Pro: location is central and really close to the train station and bus station. You can go anywhere from there either walking or with the vaporetto. Breakfast is ok. I had the room number one which was on the ground floor and it was spacious. Cons: my room was right by the breakfast kitchenette and it was noisy from very early as they were preparing breakfast. This was something easily solved as we bought hear plugs. The room got really hot during the night and there was no way to control the temperature panel. Not a big deal tho. Also the hotel is not manned 24/7 so just keep that in mind, do let them know what time are you checking in and out. Overall if you want to stay is a very well connected area this is the hotel for you. It’s not a 5star hotel but if your intention is to have a decent hotel to just sleep at go ahead and book it.

On 6 April 2019, our family of four were checking out of the Hotel Al Malcanton after a 2-night stay. We approached the female staff at the breakfast counter for our thermal flask to be filled with hot water, so that the kids could have milk on the flight later that day. A few hours later, we tasted the water to test its temperature and were appalled to discover that the flask had been filled with EXTREMELY SALTY WATER. It is obvious that we were travelling with 2 young toddlers and the water would have been for them. Whatever the reason could have been (unwillingness to help with the boiling of water because it was near the end of breakfast time or even a demanding guest), it just goes to show what sort of inhumanely nasty person we've encountered, it does not justify the intent of causing such harm to your guests, or worst, children. All you had to do was tell us you couldn't help. We are thankful that we had tested the water before giving it to our babies, and we pray it was nothing more harmful than just water with salt.
