Stayed for a medical appointment so closeness to Calvary Hospital was main selection factor. OK accommodation and met needs well. Had pizza from restaurant and it was very ordinary.

The Ramada Encore was ideal for our visit to Canberra. It has shopping right next door with plenty of food outlets and is only a short walk to Belconnen Mall. There are a Bar and Restaurant on sight, unfortuately these were unavailable due to Covid restrictions, but will reopen in the future. Overall very happy to stay there again on future visits.

The hotel is good, and in a good location. The room service and restaurant offerings were limited because of the COVID, but the staff made the best of what they could do within the current restrictions. The only odd thing was the requirement to provide a $100 deposit upon check-in. While this is normal in high class hotels overseas, it is very rare in Australia, and to me, a disincentive to stay again.

We arrived on a freezing late afternoon. Entered our room and the heater was already on and room warm. No foxtel channels and the breakfast not like last time. they did explain it was because of renovations and recommended where to get what I needed.

Covid Restrictions
I’ve been staying here for over 20 years. This was probably the last time. Just not the same, and the ‘breakfast buffet’ was why we booked. Wish we were told earlier, restaurant was closed.

Some issues but all up not bad
The spoons in the coffee cups were dirty and obviously not washed, there was a spur milk smell in the cupboard that held the mini fridge that had obviously not been cleaned up (an if I could smell it anyone could) and whatever they used to clean the bathroom floor left a slick and slippery as hell residue. On the positive side though the service was good and working the bar on the morning shift made a great coffee
